:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:That gave me a good laugh :D Its just, its so far out of the norm, I feel like I come from Mars when I prattle on about that :o but I need to, since its really my second job.

And thats the change I can make to my trading mornings - and I'll state it on here. Yes, its a job, and the boss doesn't allow access to any social websites. So I can't come on here - because even when I put my alarm on, I'm not doing it properly because my brain is actually with mse. Naughty KC :naughty: I've got some paid work finishing at 2, so I'll be on soon after that tomorrow. And right now, I'm going to eat something else and then loll about for a bit. Sleep well all

Good idea - you do have to impress the new boss after all ;) Good luck with it today (although you won't read this till later obviously :D)

ps re foraging, I think it's closer to what nature intended if we share the plants with the insects, rather than rely entirely on modern methods of food production which are more destructive to the insects' habitats etc.

Hi Fay - I always wonder about that too, that when you forage, aren't you taking food out of the mouths of the insects and whatnot? All I can think of is that by the end of the winter, when I had an apple tree in the front garden (it was one of the things that caused my wall to fall down!) there'd be loads of apples left on the tree at the end of the winter, the birds would eat 20% of one, leave another, and so on. I reckon, if I eat a flower, especially one I've grown myself, I'm entitled to have some of them after they've been open for maybe three days, give the bees a chance to get what they need? Interesting tho, how our minds work!

And it *does* speak for itself that you've not put your copy of her book onto amazon :)

Okay. Onwards and Upwards. See you all later - and thanks for reading the trading post all

I think you got some bargainous things yesterday :0

I just wanted to say - I just don't like dandelions rather than being noble and actually giving the bees all of them!:rotfl:

Sunny here - which is ace - but chained to a desk which is not so ace - bigger picture though.......................

 Agree with the foraging, agree with eating what we *like* rather than what we think we *should* eat, according to some deep green mega plan - the only thing that *does* concern me about foraging is that today, when England in particular is so densely populated, urban/suburban areas are a big reservoir of insect and small mammal populations - and if foraging gets really popular, I worry (there's a shocker:D) that we'd see local extinctions .....thats just me :o I go a bit overboard :o:o

Just one sentence - look at the hourly chart, how many times do you have to be told! Witless girl! The bees are disappearing!

Phew, got that off my chest. I've been doing all these forms for the conveyancing firm, the stuff they ask just takes so *long* - and the old estate agents of the guy I'm buying from are still trying to elbow their way into the deal. In the end I went for a good walk round the block, and to my delight I saw that the local council have brought in some sheep to keep the grass down. They're very well behaved sheep (behind little electric fences) - their bottoms are already shorn (sorry Shaun, if you're reading this ) and they completely ignored walkers, joggers and even cyclists. A poor innocent little dog tho, that was trotting by looking at the verge opposite, they shied away from like he was looking at them and herding them :rotfl:it was quite funny.

Morning, hmm.. if foraging got really popular to that extent (can't see it myself to be honest), then we (council or whoever) would maybe have to let more ground over to 'go wild'.. perhaps with a bit of encouragement for edible species. After all, some of the 'wild' plants we can forage used to be cultivated and just fell out of favour...

Anyway, hope you have a good day today. And yes, look at the hourly chart, definitely! :p
