    Thanks! As for moving .... no clue. End of August if these things traditionally take 3 months ... the people I'm buying from haven't put a firm offer on a place yet, tho they did say they'd be willing to move out.

    Yes it is :D As pandapaws said so many moons ago, I *do* know what I'm doing :o I'm just scared to do it. There's a self esteem issue about joining in too - and whaddayaknow, turns out I *can* join in - its a self invited club thing :D:D:D

    That must be another Scotland/England system difference - up here you put your preferred date in as part of your formal offer. There may be a bit of a compromise between seller and buyer's favoured dates but it is about the 2nd thing that is formally agreed (1st being accepting the offer price)! I think my moving date was decided on the same day my offer was accepted on my current flat! :D
