Probably she's used to people thinking "We've got a right one here..." and keeping stumm... You know, you could well be right.
I do find "Right-on" people irritating, and it's so tempting to start messing with their heads... :A :rotfl:
Oh my word, I bet you're *really* good at that :rotfl:
The day's been good, but not what I thought it would be in my last post - I did go to the woodland dedicated to my brother in law, with my sister - the bluebells were out, its actively coppiced, its a really lovely place.
Cuppa tea, at a local garden centre, and I came on home - and soon managed to get rid of lots more brambles and overgrown branches of shrubs from the back of the garden - I keep thinking, if the sale falls through, and I haven't done this, I'm going to *really* regret it.... there's been so little work done on it in the last 18 months, so this is catch up as well. Then a lurvely soak in the bath, and I'm on here - can I finally do a couple of free ebay listings? Maybe. I'll have a go anyway. If I don't, and just hang out on here, I'm still really glad I went out, we had a lovely talk.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sounds like a lovely day.

No, Taxi, it really doesn't - its very big, and its terraced, and there's been nothing done to it in 18 months. The patios and the paths are collapsing, the front is overgrown with grass, half a dozen trees need pruning, and there's about 50 square yards at the back I can't even get to yet, they're overgrown with snowberries, brambles and ivy. I'm perfectly serious - its dreadful. What it actually needs is a week's work from two strong guys. What it gets is a couple of hours from me :eek::eek:
But I appreciate the sentiment2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
OH ok then..but it doesn't alter the fact that you have done loads of gardeningwhich is a good thing.0

It is a good thing, you're right - and you're also right that it looks a lot better than it did before I started this latest round of tidying up. The paths at the top were submerged by grass that had grown over them, for instance, and even if they're broken, they can now be *seen*
Next thing is to get the roundup on a few selected things.
I only managed to put the old towel rail on ebay yesterday, thats okay - now its a question of putting the rest of the mags on, I may as well give them a chance to sell. Plus cleaning out the kitchen drawers, as part of the "lets give the decluttering a chance to take effect thing2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Ahem. The other thing about the kitchen drawers, which I realised once I actually took everything out - they'll still be grotty when the next people move in, but they'll just be as old as the rest of the place - they were *filthy* at the bottom
I am a bad, bad evil person :rotfl:who should not be allowed into the kitchen :rotfl: actually that last bit is true - I should have a housekeeper, shouldn't I!

Yes a housekeeper..now wouldn't that be nice.0

Nothing a bit of bleach won't sort :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

Ooh, I don't think I could bear to use bleach on a surface I put my kitchen utensils on. I used an oven cleaner last year, and frightened myself silly with the warnings and the evil smell of it - I'm afraid I'm sticking with Stardrops and using up Mr Muscle
Its looking a lot better, tho of course still *completely* messy.
Just tidying up my sig too - lovely challenges - frugal living, thrifty gifty and exercise 3 times a week - but I've not kept up or even signed up in one caseand tidying up the debt amounts.

It's all looking good in that sig....loving it.0
