Thanks KC and you too xx
Can't help with Casino stuff never done it..sorry0 -
Not to worry Taxi, Hypno offered me help via a pm, and I took her up on it, bless her.
I slept fairly well! Mind you, its now *tipping* it down outside, I was thinking I should get some more branches into the skip, but no way in this.
I have a friend coming round for a complicated professional skill-swap this afternoon, but not any paid workso its a question of what can I do that will further my long term aims (and not get me soaking wet
). Will post the list later
Hope everyone has a good start to their day.
EDIT- PS - as I just wrote on Hypno's thread, I'm going to get back into dfw-proper work this week - dooyoo, which I've already started, and GIOL offers. Cue lots of research and tearing of hair.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Good luck with the DFw stuff and glad Hypno was able to help you.0

Yep, it was all good! I was a bit tired to do anything much properly, so its been:
- a dooyoo review. Now I've got into the rhythym of it, thats pretty easy, tbh - especially because at the moment I'm doing favourite authors - this one was one of John Wyndham's books, I could write about that in my sleep.
- did nearly all the washing up!
- have just sorted out what I've got on amazon - some of the listings were a bit expensive, and some of them (Babylon 5 comics) were just wrong, so I've fixed all of that. I've also put up one chancer - anybody know James Morrison, the active white haired guy in 24? He was in a science fiction series called Space: Above and Beyond, which was brilliant, and I met him in 1998 at a fan convention. I bought a book of a play that he'd written - its on amazon for £127, and mine is signed, with photos of me and him together to prove I met him. We'll see - I'm not expecting it to sell any time soon!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
That book should net you a fair bit then.0
-
Yep, the net would be just over £100 if it ever sold - I doubt it, I really do. Though mine would be the most likely to sell, because of the signature - I just think its too high a price - when it doesn't sell in a little while, I'll lower it to something more reasonable, but I didn't want to go in straight away with a low amount.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Ooh, good luck with Amazon!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

If someone really wa.nts it then they will pay that amount.Keeping my fingers crossed anyway.0

Yep, here's hoping! I'm just checking through Amazon this morning - SF magazines have barcodes, and I'm looking at the various titles to see if any are already listed, and if they are I can list them too. I got about four. Lost one before I even started - used it to whack a spider that was wandering about
I know they're *your* friends, Z, but they're not *my* friends
:o
Anyway. Today - shorter meeting with colleague today than usual - on the phone in fact, his son is really ill with a lurgy, to safeguard my immune system we do stuff on the phone in that situationI've got 2 sessions, but spread out and one is in the evening.
Its really hitting me that I'm really going to move. And I've done an awful lot of tidying and decluttering - I just have to take care of this amazon/free listing ebay stuff - but then I have to start cleaning - windows, patio (brushing it, at least!) and my fingers are really giving me gyp, I don't know how much I'll be able to do - peeling potatoes hurts at the momentI'll just have to see, I guess.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
I am absolutely *furious* at the moment, I'm shaking with anger. We moved premises in London last month, and the rooms have all changed around - there are more, one is being decorated, people are staking out their claims to their rooms. My colleague and I have always had Friday evenings - often to ourselves, sometimes with others - and I have one slot on a Friday thats been filled by the same person for years.
I've just had an email from a therapist who started working at this centre a few years ago - she'll be working in that room too, on different days. But she has somebody returning from holiday and so is having a one off session with him, and she wants me to move my regular session so she can have her one off in my time and my space. And this therapist is described to me as a "generous, cooperative soul" by the woman who handles the rentals for the organisation we rent from.
Exactly how is this being generous and cooperative?:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
The woman who runs the rentals doesn't like me, and *does* like this woman, in fact me and my colleague have talked about it, and had the odd laugh. But this is where its got me - I feel like I'm getting the message, you don't matter, very strongly. The only thing to my advantage is that my session starts before she's due to get there. I'm actually shaking with rage - which has to be something of mine going on, so I'm *not* going to reply to the email right now, I'm going to wait till I've had my phone chat with my colleague. I just couldn't sit here and ignore it, so I've rabbited on here.
Rant over.
EDIT - and oh rats, this one has started a new page....2023: the year I get to buy a car0
