Yep, its really starting to look like I might be on the move :) I can actually feel the difference now with the decluttering - used to be, when I stopped work, it was "I'm not going to see any of that while I'm trying to relax" or trying to clear it on a temporary basis .... now, I look around, and while the furniture and the layout isn't what I like any more, the room isn't overwhelmed with **junk**. Hurray!

The room saga has finished, and no thanks at all have been expressed to me .... so I'm confirmed in where I suspected I stood. That makes it all the more satisfying when I eventually leave, that I'm not leaving behind anything precious.

Today, believe it or not, I've got quite a busy day for paid work, finally (um, busy for me). But I have to do something in between times, so I might well start sorting the paperwork in the 2nd bedroom, bit by bit, as thats the room I've started to focus on. Then over the weekend I'll do the bathroom, which is disgraceful, and then ... sit back and think! :)

Hi Shaun! Taxi's obviously seen a post from you, so I'm off to hunt around the boards, find out how you are.

Glad that the room thing has been sorted, although grr to no thanks - your plans sound like the way ahead - hope you have an enjoyable busy day :)

I think the room thing has just re-affirmed to you that you'd be better off doing it from home and no extra travel involved there either.

Morning! It does, really, doesn't it - the only possible downside to the new situation is that the session I now do in London would be an evening (but its an evening anyway, duh!) or possibly a Saturday - that might be more likely, actually. I'll have to think about it. But the much higher net is really a good idea.

    Just done a dooyoo review.

Got some serious paperwork to do before the paid work, so I'm off now. Y'all have a good one! :)

Don't suppose it'll matter what time of day it is if you are at home.At least you won't have to go out for it.
Sorry you didn't sleep well last night(read it on Hypnos thread) and hope that doesn't linger on.

Sob ....I like to have the paid work over with asap, but you're absolutely right - an evening session at home is much preferable to an evening session in London! I'm spoiled! :rotfl:

Yep, a pain. Not bad so far tho, you're right - I've currently got the laptop on my knee and mooching about for a little bit on the net, with the gas fire on and the rest of the house being aired for the weekend.

So the list for today, at any rate, is this:

    - sort my doorbell - the ringer has stopped ringing, I've recharged the batteries, but there's a glitch, obviously its kind of crucial!
    - junk from the patio, and the recycling, down into the garage - part of my clearing up, part of making the place look better for the weekend.
    - check out about going up north for the weekend - might be doing that next weekend, since I didn't go up for Christmas.
    - carry on sorting the 2nd bedroom, all those papers I've just been chucking in there. There are *so* many piles of papers in this house!

Hi KC sounds like the working from home idea might be the best way forward and you would save the travelling etc. Well done on the decluttering too I really have fallen behind now, I started off too well:rotfl: Have a good day and hope you start sleeping a bit better too.

    Hi both!

I've just had more news on the rooms in London - the client who was displacing me is coming along at the correct time (today, Thursday) after all. The therapist I've been negotiating with did at least tell me by email, but no "thanks", no "sorry for inconveniencing you when you didn't have to move after all", just "the room will be available for you tomorrow evening". Astonishing.

The off licence near me opens at 4pm, and I think I may treat myself to a bar of chocolate.

Right, off to warm up the house now, and start doing things in the kitchen and the 2nd bedroom.

Back later - have a good day you guys.
