    how much was shipping KT?
    $15
I threw caution to the wind... Hubby can now expect 2 T-shirts for christmas and 1 for his birthday (since he went from a medium to a large he's slightly lacking in tops that cover his underbelly ;))
And my baby brother is getting one for christmas too... Its not quite a rival for the 'I'm with stupid' T I got him a couple of years ago... But I think he'll like it...

ETA: It's £36 for a gift... and I think 2 lots of shipping might cost more than the VAT at customs... (although probably not flaming Royal Mails 'handling charge' greedy swines) and there's always the distinct possibility that it will just slip through the net... I also put a tick in the box that says 'is this order a gift?' just in case... ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Grrr. I'd written loads of stuff and then Alice switched the computer off at the socket.

I'm, a bit slow - I thought MSE must be broken as there were no quote buttons then I realised there was a new thread.
Before I went into maternity jeans, I bought the next size up to what I used to wear to do for a couple of weeks and I'm back in them now. I think they're tens but I have a belt on with them.. :(

ETA: Just making the point that it ain't all rosy at the other end of the size chart, neither.. :)
I used to have to get jeans two or three sizes too big to get ones long enough. When I was in school, my mum went round all the shops with a tape measure to find which one had the longest school trousers. Now I just wear skirts - it's easier.
has anyone seen all in one fleece pjs with feet for charlie? i only got them without in matalan but they stop him from plaing in his nappy and keep him cosy when he kicks the covers off!
We've just put Alice in them as she won't have the covers on but then wakes up because of being cold. We got one from Tesco (and the other one on Freecycle) but I think I've seen them in Mothercare too. If you wanted to find them online, maybe googling fleece sleepsuits would work? (The ones we have for Alice are age 3-4.)
going back to what Emlou said about the girl on Neighbours did you all see the story about the french minister that went back to work 5 days after a c section?

    That's terrible.

Weezl - thanks so much for your post about HG. I've printed it our for reference. It's interesting that they mention a possible immune process as I do have a family history of various immunity related problems. Will have to ask if anyone has stomach ulcers although I would have thought I would have heard if they did. I suspect that even if I don't have HG next time I will probably feel sick as even thinking about being pregnant makes me feel sick because of the strong psychological assosciation. (I actually feel sick at the moment.)
Strangely I only had HG in my second pregnancy with low HGC levels. But DS2 was just the pregnancy from hell.
I'm hoping I won't have it again but am planning for the worst.
I needed to give lots of sickness info for a job once, and I ended up saying "this is the last year, but for previous years I have no confirmed written records and I am estimating x and y days". That turned out ok. if it's hard getting the old one you could ask the new people if that would be ok for them?
Maybe I'm weird but I could always remember mine. I just used to write the month and year, how many days and the reason - nobody ever asked for evidence.

I must have always been lucky with customs as I've spent more than £18 loads of times and never been charged.

OMG! New pages are appearing as I'm reading!!

Just popped on to say that Mini Mode at Boots are having a mega sale. I called in by chance today to get new vests and pants for Imogen and they were further reducing all of their summer stuff. It's going down to roughly 1/3 of the original sale price. I spent about £40 on stuff worth nearer £120 (my receipt says I saved £86!).

I got lots of things for Imogen, wandered off and then thought, "Ooh. Better have a look for Alex," am soo not used to shopping for a boy yet. I've got the bones of a summer wardrobe for them both for next year plus a sun-hat each ready for our hols.

Oh, and don't bother going to Wakefield Boots if you want girls aged 3-4yrs. I cleaned them out!

Hope you're all well. Still v busy here. Alex is currently trying to fall asleep and just moaning (v annoying). Imogen is upstairs napping.

DH's boss has rejected his app to reduce and compress his hours (from 37 over 5 days to 34 over 4 days). He says he'll only approve it if he drops a full day (e.g. 7.5 hrs). That's not what he said 2 months ago, so now am v p!ssed off. DH pretty much works 8.5 hour days anyway as he always earns loads of flexi time, so I can't see how his boss can say he doesn't want him working those hours? Hypocrite! Any advice appreciated (although I can't keep up with the thread so please PM me). I think there are some HR people in the club aren't there?

Glam, try a nappy change, wiping his face with a wipe/wet cotton wool, tickling his neck and under his ear, squeezing some drops of milk into his mouth, taking his sleepsuit/outer clothes off. Best of luck, Amber sometimes woke other times it just wasn't happening. But it does get better, it's only been this week that her jaundice colour has went and she has actually started to wake up and stay awake for a little while.

piriton?! what happened (if i change cbeebies to radio 2 I may get lynched :p)

They were discussing about the woman who crushed stuff up into her babys bottles and saying what else happens. People obviously saying about their parents putting alcohol in etc and then some woman said her Paediatrician told her to put piriton in her 15m boys bottle!!

You'll have to go onto listen again feature.... now they are talking about 'normal' names and are they boring !!

    thanks

nappy changed, face wiped (he has a sticky eye anyway so been doing it often), tickled and drowned with milk and still the boy sleeps!

he wakes for his night feed no problem but I can never wake him during the day. we will have some skin to skin in a bit and then later i'll bath him (he loves a bath) and put him in the chair
