Glam are you trying to wake him to feed or to alter his sleep pattern?

    both really!

This was his pattern from yday evening

    6.30pm - 50ml feed
stayed awake for a bit but then went to sleep
    10.30pm - 30ml feed
    Woke up at 12.45am - took a 30ml feed
    Woke up at 3.30am - took a 20ml feed
    Woke up at 6.30am - took a 50ml feed
Had skin to skin with me from 7.30am until 9am - I fell asleep with him on me :o
Was flat out then until I manage to wake him at 12.30pm for a 50ml feed
Is now flat out again with no signs of waking!

The MW said I have to make sure he feeds every 3-4hrs which is fine at night but I struggle in the day.

I give him as much milk as he will take in one go - which as you can see varies quite a bit. I feed him until he won't take anymore - I do wind him as well then try again with the bottle.

It's mostly forumla with a piddly bit of breast milk if I can get it

Glam - do NOT feel bad about getting 5ml. That 5ml is wonderfully important, amd the actual pumping send the messages your body needs. Any pumping session, even if you get one or two drops, is worth it, and a wonderful gift to your LO. It is hard, but you are doing superb!

I see, I know the professionals say things things but if a baby wants to sleep they'll sleep if we like it or not usually :p I'm sure he'll be fine if he goes longer so try to keep relaxed about it.
They do get better after a week or two, the only advice I have to add to what Tia said is that I have always carried on pretty much as normal in the day noise wise etc, so its noisy and bright in the day but dark n quiet (ish) at night :)

Just remember that before he arrived he weren't sure you'd be able to give him any BM at all so you are doing fantastically!! :T

definitely is, I used to not like the name Charlotte due to a cow I used to know but these days I associate it with Becles's cutey pie and I like it :D

They were talking about a survey on This Morning the otherday and they said that teacher said kids called x, y ,z wer usually angels and a,b or c were devils.
The 'devil' names were all ones I think of as chavvy. - not exactly the most insightful survey  chavvy name = chavvy parents = lack of discipline at home?

GRRR. Molly is not an unusual or bizarre name.

Why is it that people have referred to her - just today! - as Millie and Marley? Both of those are nice names but they're NOT HER NAME.

Anyone who can't get it right gets no baby cuddles. Granted, she's drooling up a storm and has taken to headbutting people, so this might not be too harsh a punishment, but I'm really annoyed about it. I grew up with people constantly getting my name wrong and didn't want the same thing for her.

FIL annoys me, he always says Toby is an unusual name. I don't think so?

I don't understand how someone can get Molly wrong!

Ladies, you are collectively the loveliest bunch of people of ever, which is way more important than that other stuff anyway.

Real men enjoy a bit of curve and heft for cuddling*, and the idea of being bothered by a muffintop would never even occur to me. Having natural, normal bodies is a way, way better thing than matching a tabloid stereotype and perpetuating unreasonable expectations for the next generation (our babies!)!

If you are worried about health implications, by all means address your weight for that reason, but don't panic, and don't worry about what other people think - if they like you they will keep liking you!

Finally, you are all mums. You are doing a good job and the size of your jeans doesn't even sit in the same ballpark as your mothering.

    Did that help?

*skinny mums, this does not mean we cannot enjoy cuddling you too! Because we can!

Bruno!!!!! you made me cry!!!! lol. MY OH tells me this too, but i dont believe him cos i think he knows its just what i want to hear from him to keep me happy, iyswim!?? but hearing it from another man kina makes it real and makes me think that maybe he does mean it after all!!

I am depressed about the state of myself, but how do I prove that? Wait for them to touch me and watch me recoil? God knows!! Film me screaming at OH because he glimpsed me naked in the bath? Watch me crying and refusing to leave the house because my loose skin boobs are not co-operating and keep puckering up at the top of my bra.

Maybe I should just get a loan! OH would kill me though.

A friend of mine had a tummy tuck through her private medical care...not sure if it is possible to sign up to one and arrange a monthly payment plan that would allow you to get it done without a 'waiting period'
And my cousin had a boob job on finance with the place that did it!!

I saw a survey like this a few years back and often worried whether my boys would be pre-judged in school because they have don't have traditional names like Harry, George, Thomas etc...

I went out for Lunch with my work today as a kind of leaving thing. Now, I know I haven't been in work for months but I have been in to visist at lunch-times and pop in fairly regularly to buy medicines etc.. only half turned up, they didn't really speak to me much to ask about what I was going to be doing/was I sorted etc. They mainly chatted among themselves and laughed and joked about things I have no idea about (obviously, because I haven't been there) I feel a bit upset about it to be honest, kind of pushed out and ignored. I know it doesn't really matter because I have left now, but even so!
