Hi again all..
We've been having a napWoke up because the letterbox rattled with a letter from Rhys' Consultant Paediatrician (aka geneal peeps here) to his Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist (aka kidney peeps in Notts). It has the kidney scan results in it plus a lot of big words that I need to look up
Back in a bit.. off to Google I go!0 -
Deep breath.
Buttons, I empathise with you I really do. I was a size 18/20 and lost 5 stone in 5 months last year and got to a size 10, the smallest i've ever been. I got pregnant a month or so later. I havent weighed myself but I know I'm now heavier than i've ever been. I'm wearing size 16 today but am more comfortable back in a size 18 and over. My body didnt have a chance to recover from the drastic weight loss and then it was stretched to its limit so quickly when pregnant that i'm now drowning in loose skin which means i'm having to wear the bigger clothes. I cant bear to look at myself in a mirror to really look at what the damage is.
I know I have an unhealthy eating regime anyway so I blame myself for that and I have a long uphill struggle to lose the excess fat but I know when I do it will probably mean there will be more loose skin, which is more than I can deal with at the moment.
I'm sure people are also looking at me thinking I have really let myself go because they all shared in my joy when I lost all that weight last year.
I hope you do manage to get something sorted because it really affects your confidence xxxxxxxxxxxxProud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -

Little Joey is doing well and has so far been a little angel he slept solid for 5hrs last night i hope its a sign of things to come :-)
Quick question about the post natal bleeding ive never faced it before as i retained my placentas so had to have d&c's so only bled for a day or two at most very lightly. Im getting through at least 6 pads a day and they are saturated with what looks like fresh blood is that normal only been getting a couple of very small clots. Its all so different as with the other two until they did the d&C i was passing tennis ball sized clots :-)x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Welcome lolly, and congratulations
and about the bleeding... If you're worried, ask your midwife... But the first few days does tend to be a flood, then it starts to slow down and change colour...

Also where is MOTM? We need his appreciation of muffintops. Bruno, can you say some nice things in his absence?
Um! Pressure!
Ladies, you are collectively the loveliest bunch of people of ever, which is way more important than that other stuff anyway.
Real men enjoy a bit of curve and heft for cuddling*, and the idea of being bothered by a muffintop would never even occur to me. Having natural, normal bodies is a way, way better thing than matching a tabloid stereotype and perpetuating unreasonable expectations for the next generation (our babies!)!
If you are worried about health implications, by all means address your weight for that reason, but don't panic, and don't worry about what other people think - if they like you they will keep liking you!
Finally, you are all mums. You are doing a good job and the size of your jeans doesn't even sit in the same ballpark as your mothering.
Did that help?
*skinny mums, this does not mean we cannot enjoy cuddling you too! Because we can!0 -

Now customs charges on these t-shirts... I've wittled it down to 4 but I really don't want to go lower than that... Is it going to cost me a fortune at the border?!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls...
