  • Susan - BF probably does has an effect for me as I've had a really short cycle this month as DD has been staying in her bed until about 6.30am instead of the usual 4 or 5am so obviously my hormones aren't being as stimulated.

I know it will be a different matter tonight as poor baby if finding if very hard to breath, I've already propped the end of her bed up, but bf helps clear her nose plus I make extra antibodies for her.

TFW - Toddler Feeding Weirdo comes from another forum I am a member of - we call ourselves weirdos as feeding a child of DD's age is seen as weird by some sections of society.

    .

One of my bestest work friends has PCOS - it took her a very long time to conceive.......years of disappointment - but now she's blessed with two beautiful children.

I'm glad there is a real person who's still feeding that late on! I'm still feeding morning and night, but I assumed i'd dry up soon and she'd naturally stop.
With my first two, i'd stopped well before now. DS1 I found B/f really easy, but I went back to work full time when he was 4 months and kind of dried up.
DD1 if found B/f the most difficult/painful thing ever, and only managed for four weeks.
This time, I don't (if I do!) go back to work til end of November, when she'll be almost 10 months. She's eating 3 meals a day now, but still having boobie first and last thing (and maybe once in between) and I'll carry on for as long as she wants to.
A mum from school fed her daughter morning and night til she was 3, so she's convinved me it is possible.

OH has his interview tomorrow........I think i'm more nervous than he is!

Well I did do quite well with my shopping expedition earlier - got the shed paint I wanted and also some more veg - including a butternut squash, pears and banana's :) Does anyone cook pears for their little ones to freeze? I know you can steam them but I don't have a steamer... :(
Also got more carrots - plan is to just do extra carrots when we have them and then mush and freeze it :)
Planning on going to the butchers tomorrow and buying 2kg shoulder of lamb to try the Economy Gastronomy bedrock recipe over the weekend :)

We got given it but I was told Celia only needed it as she was exclusively bf, if she'd had any formula then she wouldn't need it! Obviously I'm basing it on my shaking sleep deprived memory so don't take my word for it!

Did Ed have the injection then Sami? Or nothing at all?
Yeah both boys had the injection, they only give drops if mum requests them or in some mystery circumstances here. Its one of the few things I didn't research in depth tho and I've forgotten the basic reasons for it :o

I've left my BFing pillow at MILs, I hope Ed doesn't wake 3 times tonight again, although I could feed lying down... I don't know why I don't more often?

Caz - if you're around, a spoonful of honey swallowed as slow as possible helps your throat :)

  • It's very quiet in here tonite, I've been busy being busy doing what I'm not sure lol. Do you ever find that it's late and you don't have a clue what you've done and you feel you still have loads to do!!!

I'm sorting all of Rhys' paperwork and double checking the calendar to make sure I've got all his appointments right (they rearrange them a lot and I can't remember what I've updated and what I haven't..) :)
  • DD was 9 months old when I returned to work full-time. I expressed mid-morning at work (another fan of the Medela Swing) - mum would then give her it the next day. I kept this up until she was 14 months old when she dropped the the feed. DD only dropped her mid-afternoon/mummy's home feed earlier this year, with a bit of gentle encouragement.

I'm used to the comments/looks my former work colleagues would give me when the found out I was bf a toddler and letting her sleep in our bed, which is why I keep it under my hat - my new colleagues don't have a clue about my secret life.

3 OH good luck for tomorrow

Tine I just boiled my pears in a teeny bit of water and froze for chris, or you could microwave them with a bit of water.
