Mazcabs, i guess your almost an original :-)
How it all started was when i was about 5m pregnant with Jack and wanted to chat about MSE baby things, so I started a Pregnancy thread, which just took off, when Jack was born in Nov 2006 and Imogen in Dec 2006, LuT came up with the idea of starting a parent thread, so we could all continue chatting, leaving the pregnancy thread to be just that. So in theory an original Pregnancy Threader would have been from July 2006 and Parent Thread Dec 2006 time.
Not that it matters in the slightest as we are not exclusive and of course everyone is welcome whenever they join or hear about us.0 -

Toby's latest thing is rolling over to the vegetable rack and getting things out to play with! He can shuffle about a foot backwards at a time now, he goes right up on his hands and waves his bum in the air, but hasn't mastered crawlling yet. It will be soon though! He can sit up completely unaided for long periods of time now, forgotten that I used to have to prop him up or catch him!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Hello
Been to baby massage this morning but little madam decided that it was the perfect time for a nap!! So not a whole lot of massaging going on!
Just come back from a walk to the post office to send ebay stuff and she's gone back to bed. She was up at 10pm, 2am, 4am, 6am and 7:30am. It was her own fault for falling asleep at 7pm which was 4hrs earlier than usual. Good job I went to bed at 9:30pm really, although I think its the first time I have ever been to bed before midnight.
Got to put the washing on before the house overflows with it.
xxxxxProud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -

( i told him that he lives far away and he does love him but now he's older he's asking more difficult questions)

Its funny though cos I joined the first Parent's Club thread... I just nipped back and had a look at some of the names and I must say I wonder where some of them have gone.......I think I joined about half way through that first thread..... I think that makes me kinda an original....
Weird to think that we have had 5 parents threads since this time last year and the first one nearly lasted a whole year!!!Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -

so it looks like i failed at keeping up with the thread or posting regularly, Austin hit his 6 week growth spurt with a vengence and is feeding almost constantly, just when i thought we were getting somewhere with feeding patterns....sigh!
I am starting to worry a little because the last 2 nights he's been on the breast for an hour and a half, draining both sides twice and getting very frustrated and crying because he's obviously not getting quite enough....it's very demoralising, how long does this growth spurt last? We must have been doing this on and off for about a week, he's waking more at night as well....
How was the 6 week growth spurt for you all? i think i just need some reassurance!
As others have suggested, the best thing you can do at this point is just feed for as often and as long as you can and the supply will up to match what he needs... I know it feels like all you do is feed at the minute but honestly, you reach a point where it becomes second nature and you don't even realise you're doing it... It gets ever so much easier... And well done for getting this far! :TA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
