Just watching it now, I find it shocking that they wont even try to help :(

  • My 2nd Cousin was very premature (somewhere between 22 and 24 weeks). If she had been born here, they wouldn't have tried to save her. At the time, she was the youngest baby saved in Canada. She does have some health problems and will always need support, but is healthy and happy. I met her when we were both 11, and we spent hours playing in the pool. She was just like me, only talked a bit slower and got tired a bit quicker.

I just caught the end of it, so didnt see much but very sad. Looked as if Holly was almost crying.

My baby is miserable and I cant do anything to help her! I also got her weighed yesterday and she weighs just 15 pounds .... is that a little small? I dont think she looks it but she is also quite long
Sorry I know we do the weight thing quite often but I have forgotten where about all the other babies of similar age are.

Im a bit mad too cos my Dr said I am overweight verging on obese, I am a size 12 !!!!!!, some clothes depending on where from are a 10 (not many mind) Made me feel a bit crap to be honest, thought I was doing well cos I am half a stone lighter than before coming pregnant! Dont get me wrong I have a few pounds to lose thats for sure but verging on Obese thats a little too far me thinks!

    Morning all...

Oh, that was what I wanted to talk about. My friend's 5 months pregnant and doesnt want her partner with her in the delivery room. She asked if I'd consider maybe being her birth partner. Awesome, no? But has anyone done this? How do you reconcile being on call for the potential-birth period with work and other commitments and your own kid?
Caz was her sister's I think and Erin was only about 3 weeks or something, hopefully she'll be along soon to tell you.
On the full boobs issue, If you stopped expressing around her EDD then your supply would be 'just' what Molly is having so you may not get as full?? (but would need to up it again if you wanted to carry on expressing :undecided)
My mum was at both my births but is rather established at her workplace and also has a job that is easily covered for a day if that makes sense? so she just told work if she got the call she'd be off  I was very clever though and both boys were born on a saturday after 6ish hours of labour;)
My house is a doghole... Aimee has done nothing but whinge all morning... Caitlyn woke up every 90mins throughout the night and the cat just jumped up onto my knee, and put his paw right in the middle of my peice of toast...

I'm going to go have a little cry and see if Caitlyn can be persuaded to have a 4 hour nap...
    :kisses3:
    Whats an original?
someone who's been on the thread from the begining :)

Aww Holly was crying at the woman's story on This Morning (which obviously made me cry too!) Poor thing, sounds like she had a lovely MW though (she tried to keep him alive without breaking the rules)
We only got up at 9:50am today so roughly 3hrs more sleep than usual (would have been more but Ed fed for almost 2hrs when I went to bed :D) I feel no better for it though :( on the bright side Edgar is much happier today so I think he was partly grumpy with poop/trumps yesterday as well as the cold.
I was slightly hoping Chris's voice would have gone as it was on the way out but no such look :p I've still got him constantly chirping on

That sounds like an almost perfect weight to me This chart is for BF babies but is a good enough gauge Weight gain bf girls 15lbs is approx 6.8kgs

Have you looked up your height weight and or BMI on line? I don't think you look close to obese at all!!

Back from hospital. Yet again, they had no notes or instructions for today so they just took my word for it on what wanted testing :o

Took so long I decided not to bother with town - Mum and Nan are coming here instead. Rhys is in his bouncer, playing peek-a-boo on his own, covering his face with a muslin then pushing it back down again
  • Ah brilliant, thanks Sami!
I know what my bmi is and its fine, Im not bothered as Im fairly happy with the way I look, could do with losing a few like I say and toning up my arms and stomach - always room for improvement in other words LoL.
But I didnt think it was a very sensible thing to say, this considering the doctor looked a good stone or two overweight.

eta - yeah tried all the usual methods for clearing her nose, I think its more at the back and high up, like where her nose and throat join iyswim?

  • morning everyone,

thanks for the info on sleeping bags, she's been in vest , sleepsuit and 2.5 tog and seems fine in this, but obv its gonna get alot colder yet..

been a bit of drama here this mornin, the house next door but 2 has been on fire, firemen had to break in the couple that live there were at work, they got there shortly after, i feel so sorry for them they look so upset, they'd closed the footpath off from my house to theirs as well!

sparkle doctors can be so insensitive sometimes, luckily they've never said anything to me even tho i am obese!! i dread to think what ur doc would say to me!! which reminds me am gonna get these gyms rung up!!!
