elle, I have never heard that before, it might be worth my while to cut down my hours a little bit, say 4 a week, as my wage this year plus bonus will probably take me over that, and then Chris gets £5k a year for incapacity benefit, must look into that
    Thanks hun :)

Might be different for you having two, but for one child you only get basic unless you earn less than £23k.. That's the way I understand what they've just said to me anyway :)

we wernt entitled to anything for Jas as I earned over that, but now with Dylan we are going to get basic, but you saying about the £23k has just made me decide to try to crunch some fiures to see if I could cut down a few hours, if I could get 4 hours a week I would use it to take an extra day off every other week IYKWIM
So just thank you for posting it, as it has made me realise this :)
It might not work, but at least I now know to try !

  • SM, you can either phone them and give them the updated amount, or leave it and get more next year after your P60 comes out

Do you get CTC per child? Or is it just 1 amount based on your income?

You only get one claim, but the more kids you have the higher the income levels are allowed to be I think, but don't quote me on that !!

I don't know hun, give them a ring and ask them. You do not have to change your details if you dont want to

  • Just flying in very quick (I'm going to be late.. eep!) To send hugs to Em and pinkpig and Em, and anyone else who wants them.

I'm trying to think about going back to work in a positive light. I know Izzy will have a brilliant time at nursery, and she is definitely better off learning to walk etc there than on the streets which is where we would be if I didn't go back to work. (Well... if we really did end up being reposessed we would end up back at my parents rather than in a cardboard box, but you know what I mean!)

Must go brush my teeth and then go and be scraped, polished and told off ;) Hopefully will be back on tonight/tomorrow, if not have a fab weekend everyone.

Elle I am very sad that you are so down :( you have been doing such a great (and inspirational!) job, it's no wonder it's been draining you :/. Try to find something you can do to recharge batteries a bit if you can :( and lean on us if we can help! And get some sleep!
    Completely agree Bruno!

You have a great weekend too Ladybird :)

searching - i think you're still classed as working when on mat leave. if your hours haven't changed then i wouldn't think you'd lose wtc. after all, it's like you're doing the same hours for £100 per week less pay.
