Not sure where she gets her wool, I don't understand it, I just know she sometimes has 2 different colours and mixes into one? Or something like that. Either way I like pushing the pedal. She has loads of other things too, she made me a gorgeous crocheted scarf thing one Xmas, it was pink and fluffy, she made it 2 tone, and then about 3 weeks later, all the shops were selling scarfs like it! Totally ripped her idea off!
She was celebrating Eid this weekend, you think I should buy her a gift for it?0 -
I've come across this https://www.securesiteoffers.com/googcm/091509/index.php?subid=200041&subid2=43123&hitid=669261458 Anyone got any experience of this kind of thing? weezl, i reckon i'd pay 50p a slice for RR depending on how big it is, but i am a chocoholic
what about doing like a 3 for £1 type thing in prepacked packaging where the slices are cut ever so slightly smaller to get a extra slice out the tray
Genius idea! :T
Good luck weezl!

Sorry, was just looking at it now..
Before I work it out, and being nebby, are you on just SMP (£123.06 a week) or on Company maternity pay too? And what are the dates of your mat leave? (inc when do your three months unpaid begin)0 -
My trollie ollie has just come, but the Next delivery guy bought it and even the delivery notes are identical to Next, I don't remember Debenhams being like that before!Too many children, too little time!!!0

Righty.. bottle in his mouth
Firstly, have you given eight weeks notice that you want to go back before your year of leave is up? (I'm assuming you're going back when your SMP/MA stops). Your employer automatically assumes you are having the full year off and you need to give eight weeks notice that you're not taking it all - they can insist you don't work during those eight weeks so you could find yourself without income between SMP/MA finishing and them letting you back to work and paying you for the pleasure. Info here.
Next, going back on reduced hours IS a form of flexible working and as such you do need to apply in writing. Info here. The process of making an application can take upto 14 weeks so needs starting ASAP. Guide to making an application is here - there's a template letter link from there too.
Not telling you off for not doing it properly, but if you've done it properly it backs up your case for appeal if they don't do their bit properly.

update... work just rang me back to say they had spoken to my (poor on maternity leave and probably doesnt give a hairy ship about all this right now) boss and they dont have a problem with me dropping my hours, its just that the days i said i can do (tuesday, thursday and friday) they are fully staffed on  they have actually asked me to put it into writing. i was meant to be going to look round the nursery at 2.30 so i rang them and told them i wasnt going to as there was no point, and she told me they have another branch with vacancies for all days of the week :T:T its not as good as the other one is in the town centre which is where i live and work, and the other one is in the opposite direction typically, but it costs the same and is a good means to an end!! i have made an appointment with them for friday.
so i rang back work and asked what days they need staffing on specifically so when i put my proposal into writing its more likely to be [STRIKE]accepted[/STRIKE] convenient for themand they said mondays, wednesdays and weekends. weekends arent an option so i'll have to ask for another weekday and hope they'll accept it :undecided although we could probably get by on the money from me working two days tbh. i am feeling a little more positive now
