Mel - when you take the bottle up for the night time feed or before you go out (in the insulated bag which I'm getting tomorrow)?

    Do u
a.) Make as directed above and then at point 6, heat up and pop in the bag
    OR
b.) skip step 4 (cooling it down) and just pop it straight in the bag?

I'm getting the hang of this slowly!

Ok, so everyone does it differently and everyone has healthy babies which goes to show I am being a complete A R S E over all of this!

For night time, I had that day and night warmer thingy...so the bottles are kept cold in the chiller section of thewarmer...bit like a cool box. If you don't have one of them then best to keep in fridge, and nip down to get it in night....then pop into warmer or jug as above.

For going out...if baby is due to fed within an hour of going out, I would warm bottle first then take it in the insulated bag to keep it warm.....If it was any longer than an hour, I would use the insulated bag to keep the bottle cold (it works either way) and warm it when needed. I used a flask of hot water to warm it if out.
If taking it out with you warm, you would probably need to cool it a bit or it would probably be too hot still when needing to use it!!

Just to add to the concussion :p I always made bottles up as soon as the kettle boiled, no cooling - coz I'm well hard with asbestos hands

    :rotfl:

I often do too Sami - only cos I am usually doing last thing at night and can't be bothered waiting to cool the kettle:rotfl:

Congrats Weezl!! You'll need to extend your budget come April time :p

Keira hasn't eaten since her snack at nursery, I made chilli & rice and she is refusing to eat it. Do I just leave her to starve?

    Hello :)

We need to speak in code now, cos you're not always sure who's listening :)

A couple of months back I had a BFP and now I have an official EDD of (I kid you not): 01/04/10.

*Stands back waiting for gasps of horror*
