Not much happening in MDW towers today - hopefully a bit more packing later once DD is in bed.

I've just had to referree DH and DD as he wasn't understanding what she was asking and she was getting frutsrated - a couple of pointed questions revealed that she wanted him to take his shoes off and lie on the floor!

Oh I also had to try and teach DH how to prepare rice pudding via the telephone - he did ok just had it on too high a temperature so it dried up and stuck to the dish! What was left tasted nice.

Hugs for those who want or need one.

OK, I need to get my kids to bed and figure out what I have still to do for this party tomorrow. And wrap DS1's presents and write his card. Then bath Amber, get myself a shower.

CONGRATULATIONS WEEZL - I am very happy for you.

strange though as I don't even 'know' you and it made me cry with a mixture of happiness and jealousy:o

Anyone watching economy gastronomy? Have just watched nigel slaters simple dinners. Trying to get ideas for teas, having made cheese and onion pie for tea and failing drastically! Oh well DH and dog enjoyed it!!

Oh, I'm having a poo day today.

NMS - how do you keep the water warm for the night feeds? or do u make a fresh feed up in the night?

I'm going to get the TT CTN insulated bottle bags that Mel said about the other day for when we are out and about.

Yay Jack is waking up (probably cos the footy's on!)

Aw, sorry your having a poo day! Is it just the sleeping/waking issue? TBH Liam just eat, woke up fed, had a bum change and slept again - this was for about the first 2 weeks! It is getting easier as he is staying awake longer, but it means he need entertaing more and there are less opportunities to nap, get jobs done - so make the most of the time whilst you have it :)

Oh, bottles - I actually make up 3 or 4 at time, keep them in the fridge (but not in the door) and then warm them up in a jug of water. At night, I usually send hubby down to get the water/bottles then he gets to go back to sleep ;) Although, I have just won this from ebay (as recommended on here :)) just waiting for it to arrive.

Oh, I have the thermal bottle warmers too! I have one in the change bag and I tend to make up a fresh feed it were planning on going out, and pop it in whilst warm so that goes in at it's hottest and will last 3-4hrs. I have the other in the bedroom, I use it when Liam decided to go back to sleep after I've sent hubby for a bottle, and it's keep the warmed up bottle for another hour or so. Also if Liam is due for a feed around or just after hubby leaves for work, he'll do me a bottle for the warmer so it's ready for when I need it, and I get a brew too! :D Liam generally feeds every four hours, so it is easier for me to plan the feeds.

Think it might just be the baby blues today.

So u boil the water, let it cool a bit, add the powder and then keep it in the fridge?!
I thought u couldn't do that - oh this is so confusing!

I just read that somewhere - it said store in main part of fridge and not the door. I assumed it's cos it's not quite as cold
