Bet you wanted to yell at them to just bloody leave him alone Elle? Have a (((hug)))

They got me to hold him - normally he'd lying on the bed being pinned down - and I just wanted to spin him round and hold him tight to me but I couldn't.. :(

He's really grouchy now. I think we might slowly be finding a natural nap time and the blood test was right in the middle of it, so he's missed his nap plus tired himself out more with all the screaming.

Mum and Dad are looking forward to playing with him tonight while we're out so he better get a nap in quick before Grandad starts teaching him football rules!

ETA: Anyway, enough moaning and wittering from me... More yays for Weezl! :D :j

I hated it when Jack had to have his sugars, then bilirubin and then heel !!!!! done. The first dr that did the bilirubin didn't give him the sucrose and he screamed for ages - one drop of blood is fine but when they are constantly suqeezing and squeezing it's cruel not to give it to them first.

    Big hugs to Rhys!

Those of you that do Formula Feed - how do you store the water while you wait for it to cool?

LOL @ neighbours - the girl who went back to school two weeks after having a baby is now organising a protest crusade against the hospital that are refusing to let a woman in her late 40s be a surrogate for her daughter :rotfl:

Not amused with daddy tonight... he said he'd be home 7 latest so I've got everything in the oven etc for 7... I just called him to see if he'd be home a lot earlier etc... Oh he's not even left the office yet! NOT amused! Apparently he had to take someone to the station (tell them to get a flipping taxi!) so he won't be home till 7:30 at the EARLIEST! great! Well he can have a cold dinner then and I'll bath Alex myself! I want her in bed by 8:30 because that is what we have been trying to do for several days now and it's working. Not my fault he's faffing about at work and I'm certainly not going to change Alex's routine because of it! Grrrrrrr

*goes off to cuss under her breath to herself about men!*

  • News from my house, we had a good 3 mins of open hands without any persuasion this afternoon :j You have no idea how happy I am that this is working :o We were playing peek-a-boo and he was waving his hands around OPEN :T then he got a bit bored and grouchy and decided he wasnt going to do it again and cryed at me when I tried, but I dont mind, he has been doing really well :D Now just to get him to keep his head turned to my right for longer than 10 seconds, but that one is proving to be a little more difficult

I went out for Lunch with my work today as a kind of leaving thing. Now, I know I haven't been in work for months but I have been in to visist at lunch-times and pop in fairly regularly to buy medicines etc.. only half turned up, they didn't really speak to me much to ask about what I was going to be doing/was I sorted etc. They mainly chatted among themselves and laughed and joked about things I have no idea about (obviously, because I haven't been there) I feel a bit upset about it to be honest, kind of pushed out and ignored. I know it doesn't really matter because I have left now, but even so!

Sorry to hear they weren't very nice to you.

At the place where I worked when I was getting married, a lady from dispatch had his 18th a couple of weeks before and the ladies I worked with were putting fivers in his envelope, so I felt obliged to put a fiver in, even though I couldn't really afford it. He ended up with about £150 altogether from the whole company.

I know it's wrong to expect big presents, but I was a bit disappointed when I was given a table cloth from the whole company :o

The women I worked with also insisted they had to organise a hen night for me even though I didn't really want to go out with them. We went to a place that does a buffet and a disco, but they just sat in the corner and !!!!!ed about people at work while my Mam and me were on the dancefloor

They inisisted on being invited to the wedding too, so I sent them all evening invitiations even though I didn't really want to invite them. They turned up, had some buffet and then left. I was annoyed about that as I really wanted to invite the people from my previous workplace and they would have stayed for the whole evening.
