More dupe codes and now a theatre show and people always thank them too. I notice that the person posting duped had several hundred posts, you think they would know how to use the search facility by now.
  • If you PM a BG they can move/merge any posts that are not cinema tickets.

I'm using my phone atm and the little box that pops up when u click on a name doesn't always pop up for some reason. Hence the public moan.

Please ignore question in previous post I now understand. As gb says updates are a grey area. However if people are receiving official emails stating more tickets released then I agree that should b posted. It's only when people post to say they just got tix from previous code and tell us all to try, that can be a nuisance. Yours was an official new release of tickets which is worth telling people imo.

I agree that additional tickets from a previous code should be posted. To be honest the tickets go so quickly that I dont bother trying again, and I'm sure that many are in the same boat.

If the post on the code thread hasn't got a 6 digit number in it, or a password, then it isnt an alert and shouldnt be treated as such. The person responsible should be publicly humiliated and made to walk the streets wearing a sandwich board, informing the world of their error IMHO:rotfl:

Lastly, I want to say a big thank you to a certain someone who assisted me in seeing The Town. What a great film, although I did find it hard to hear EVERYTHING that was being said. I thought Ben Affleck was great, but couldn't help thinking of Adam Sandler as I watched him;)

What about vital pieces of info such as dates/times changes etc? There has been instances of this in the past. I can remember pooch posting one which if we used your suggested method would not have notified all the people needing to see it.

Plus your suggested method wouldnt stop duplicates.

It's shame we cant steal the email set up from FMUK.

Every email from them has the Title of the post. and states whether it is a new post or a reply. I know the FMUK board is set up a little different, but even if everyone used the title part on here when posting replies and then that title was in the email you could look and see it was for a movie you didnt want to see/already had tickets for and not need to rush to get onto the board

Still doesnt stop duplicates tho. They just seem to have a very very fast board guide who deletes them straight away

Although logging on to see nothing is sometimes more annoying than logging on to see a duplicate

And on a movie side .... Wall Street or Thorne?? I've got tickets for both hmmmm

Just got tickets for this screening which was unavailable before:

More tickets also released for the Sky screenings of Mr Nice at Islington (and guessing all the others)...

Thanks for this, wish it was posted in the codes thread, wouldn't have missed it then :( but we all know that if you did post it there, you would have been jumped on.
  • I've not tried it myself but supposedly orange customers can ring 241 to get the OW code and its free, instead of texting which is 35p... anyone had any luck with this?

It wasnt a suggestion, it was an observation! To get tickets you usually need a codeword or a 6 digit number. All of the other information posted is superfluous as this can be obtained from the promoters (is that the right word?) website.

I agree that using the film title in the MSE title would be a great idea, and one that is used on other threads on here. It is especially useful when doing a search.

Maybe we should set up our own website and take the best ideas from all of the others around that we use........(stands back.....)!:)

Quoia.... fancy taking this on?! I know you're pretty clued up on HMTTMMTTTMTML ;)

I'm an avid (undertstatement) poster, but even I wouldnt have time time, nor patience, nor know-how to set up a website to such a service :(

Has already happened and exists at this moment

    FMUK

It was created by a "disillusioned" MSE member who had exactly the same idea because of all of the frustrations.
