The trouble is you have to log on every time there is a post to continue getting notifications, its such a pain, just to see people complaining about other people posting in codes.....don't they get their post generates an email too....................................
I know <deep sigh>0 -
Got tickets for The Girl who Played with Fire on Sunday. Aberdeen venue changed to Queens Links instead of Union Square, which is better because no parking fees at the former venue - phew.
Leaving it a bit late to watch the first part of the trilogy - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Having to journey miles to get DVD (although not my car or petrol for that matter - you've got to be a tad bit canny!!!) from a friend after a last minute scramble to buy DVD  and finding it was a bit beyond my pricing comfort range (too new). Had just forked out millions of me pennies to see a theatre production (someone's big birthday coming up soon), and so was due a favour in return - double phew.
Therefore, now minus the price of the first DVD and the parking fees that I was faced with. The moths have already been working overtime from the purse. Hopefully now they'll be able to rest up a bit more mean time.

Oh great! Now we've got tit for tat posting! This is what always happens.
I don't know if it's possible with the forum software, but the codes thread should change to being moderated, with only reliable code posters allowed to post directly & everybody else's posts being reviewed first. New code posters can be 'upgraded' to non-moderated status once they've proven themselves.
Otherwise we'll keep getting this, (understandably) newbies will make the mistake over and over again.0 -

You'd have to keep the thread locked and have a BG update it. Given how few BGs there are and the fact they don't get paid, can't see it working out. There'd be less chat, sure, but the codes would be delayed.0 -

I used to think this forum was fun and good for picking things up now im just getting bored and fed up with people who have nothing better to do with there time and moan everytime someone does something slightly 'off' the 'rules'. This site doesnt BELONG to any of us its suppose to be an open forum where we can all pick up handy hints and tips and the odd freebie and bargain!!
this forum does need folk to be monitors... it already has those, quite frankly if folks have nothing nice and positive to say....... here's a hint say nothing!!!!!!
Stop blaming Neebies for everything... i'm one but hey i can read too !!!! I really annoys mean when folk take the upper hand, and if its cause your get them straight to your mobile, here's a thought stop being so greedy with every cinema code that comes through and let others have a go, your only annoyed as you think your getting in first for yet another freebie!!!
sorry for rant but this forum seems to be getting really unfriendly in general and it always used to be very positive but lately people feel the need to take it into there 'own hands to police the forum'
sorry but surely we're adults and could do less stressing and shouting at others really not required0 -
Hi,
Don't know if it helps but I just cancelled two tickets for Going the Distance at Lakeside, West Thurrock tomorrow. They should be available now if anyone wants them.
I saw it last Sunday and forgot I had booked these ones.
I thought this was such a good film and would recommend going to see it if you can. I could not stop laughing at parts.0 -
It would be good if someone could code it so that when someone replies to a no discussion thread a message appears reminding them of the - no discussion rule. Its just a flag that might help.
Moderating the forum would surely be against the point of first-come first-serve tickets. Other open forums/feeds would then get all the traffic as here would be behind. Plus MSE would have to hire/find regular moderators. Can't see that making business sense.
Also, people need to remember that is a free forum for free cinema codes. 100% relied on public contributions. You can't expect such a slick service all the time.
All those people complaining about the cost of receiving update emails via mobiles, well sorry, but you set that up. You know that its unregulated so you've put yourself in that position.
I share peoples frustrations but I love this service.0 -

Although annoying, I have no problem with someone knew to these threads making a genuine mistake as originally happened last .night. What I do have a problem with is people knowingly posting chat on a no discussion thread as went on to happen later. The person who made the first post was fine when I sent a pm and deleted her post in the hope it would stop tit for tat chat. Sadly it didn't but even worse she then joined in and that's not on. It really isn't.
There have been plenty of times when someone has posted a code with their first post so allowing only 'regular code posters' could mean us losing out on a code to another forum like HUKD.
