I went to see Heartbreaker tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. I do love French films a lot! Recently i've noticed a lot more releases from around the world shown in main stream cinemas (not just your local independant theatre). Cinematography isn't all just about Hollywood. After watching this movie tonight it reminded me how much i loved the movie Taxi from a good few years back... again, it was that good that an English version was made and yes... it was that good that i don't actually remember the remake... :D

Heartbreaker reminded me of this other movie called The Break-up Artist (2009), however the con artist is a female. They both have similar story lines but have to say that The Break-up Artist was that bad. i never actually finished the movie, hahaha... Seriously, i couldn't stand the scripted wooden acting and the pure cheese just kept making me cringe! :S

Guys, if you want to check the movie out it's here anyways. I didn't like it but you may. :)

    Wasn't it another French one...

Given your rave reviews, I wished I'd seen it now, but given how tired I am with this heat, I'm sure I would have fallen asleep in the cinema!

Don't all cinemas turn up the A/C whatever the weather? I always have to bring a cardi or scarf when i'm there... i even sneezed a couple of times tonight. :rotfl:

Hope you do get to see the movie as it's definately worth the time. :p

I got the impression it was a main stream film. At first my friend thought Gerard Butler might have been the star but after perusing IMDb we gave up on that idea.

I'm sure you would have enjoyed it Sunny. I know what you mean about the heat, I had a snooze for an hour and almost went back to sleep after my alarm went. Glad I didn't but I did get a surprise at the rain when I left for the cinema.

I've checked that film out and I have a feeling that might be the one my friend and daughter saw. Thank you, I'll send her the link.

One friend seems to think another film shown I'm the last year or so had a similar storyline. Any ideas?

I'm glad you found the film reference, but just to be on the safe side, I could easily volunteer to watch every Gerard Butler film just to make sure - :D.

Your dedication is truly heartwarming and whilst I wouldn't want to send you on a fool's errand nor would I want to deprive you of such a pleasurable experience ;-) So if you feel that you are up to such an arduous task and can find the time, then watch away mon amie.

Coincidentally, I am going to the first film in the Gillette Get Close film season this evening which is Dirty Dancing. I'm still deciding if I'm going to see the latest Woody Allen offering. I have a real problem with Woody Allen and decided to boycott his films after he left Mia Farrow for their adopted daughter.

And I get bored of little boys bragging about how corrupt their lives are. But Ben if you're happy about that please say so. After all you think you have the right to lay down laws! For the record I'm not being !!!!!y I am recounting the cheats own words, paraphrased, back.

Nobody makes you read the posts, so if you don't like them, don't read them and butt out!

The actions of this idiot can put an end to free previews, so think on that!!

    Touche mon amie! ;)
