You'd be banned from the cinema but let's face it, you just like to cheat full stop! If you can fleece someone, somewhere you'll fleece them; motor insurance ring any bells?

Having checklists will be too much of an administrative effort for this type of screening unless the director and/or cast was going to make a show. Anyways, Ive been onto this game for a while and ill continue playing until I get caught, which wont be sooo bad. I mean what they gonna do "Ohhh you naughty boy, you have forged a ticket to a FREE screening, let me spank you".

I'm getting quite bored of the b*tchy attitude this forum has taken on lately. Instead of a place where we can all air on views on the movies themselves it has become a place for a slagging session

All in favour of a "I'm bored and fancy b*tching at someone" Forum say aye....

    AYE!!!

And I get bored of little boys bragging about how corrupt their lives are. But Ben if you're happy about that please say so. After all you think you have the right to lay down laws! For the record I'm not being !!!!!y I am recounting the cheats own words, paraphrased, back.

Nobody makes you read the posts, so if you don't like them, don't read them and butt out!

The actions of this idiot can put an end to free previews, so think on that!!

Just read this great interview but horrified that there are talks of a remake already!

I'm going to see it again this evening.

While I can understand why they are considering an English remake, in terms of wanting to replicate something so successful, I would personally be wary of losing a certain amount of panache that otherwise seals the deal. On the other hand, if they got the casting right, it would be worth a watch.

I do agree that if someone is forging tickets to get into free screenings, this could ultimately affect every one of us.

Getting tickets via codes, when we have not actually bought the paper or magazine has always been a "grey" area.
Pre my MSE days I have bought a magazine because of the tickets, to then find them already "all gone". I was not a happy bunny, but assumed that other magazine buyers had been quicker getting a ticket.

I think the likes of SFF, Tellten etc are well aware of sites like MSE who post the codes printed in papers and mags, but as already commented on, I think closing the loop-hole not worth the effort.

BUT, to go two steps further and actually manufacture your own ticket does take this beyond the point of being ignorable.
    1) You are manufacturing tickets to see a film you have no possible right to.
    2) You are undermining the whole process of ticket allocation - ok they may already issue slightly more than a screening can hold, on the basis of a certain % not turning up.
But if every clever clogs does the same, it turns into a farce.
One or two disappointed ticket holders is one thing, but if dozens arrive in good time and the screening is already full.....
Tickets are limited for a legal reason - Health and Safety/Fire regulations.
    3) If Poochface overheard said fraudster bragging/boasting about how clever they are..... how long before a member of staff overhears. They could be off duty and have got a free ticket in their own right. Or work for SFF, Tellten etc.
To compound the idiocy, they have now come on this public website again "boasting" about how easy it is, giving a step-by-step guide for how to do it, and bragging they will continue to do so, and don't care if they are 'caught'
    4) On a parallel case, using money off coupons for items not bought had also always been a grey area. Store policy said one thing, local practise said another and the coupon itself something different again. But again there was some greedy people who decided this was not enough, they printed their own coupons fraudulently, and there was even scams (and I think one was a police officer) where they would scan the coupon, but then put blank paper in the box - which for your information sho_me_da_money, did result in police action and court cases.

It all drew unnecessary attention to the use of coupons, which was eventually withdrawn completely.

Load mouthed fraudsters could end up forcing sff/tell ten etc to have to rethink how they issue tickets, which could affect us all.
None of this will stop sho_me_da_money, but the rest of us should be aware of the resulting risk to our future free nights out at the cinema:money:
  • Just to be brief - 1) Got the codes, fonts, addresses, times and names covered. The power of P-shop is truly powerful - trust me buster, I got the script like4like and boxed off 2) Would it help if I told you I was MCITP, MCSA CompTia Net+ 2010 certified? IP Address - Cmon man, I'm better than that lad - who surfs without a shell these days anyways??? and 3) Yeap your spot on - but I doubt we'd get hurt, did you see the size of the 2 incredible hulks I was with? BRAP. Appreciate the advice, but when I said - "Ill get them back" I wasn't referring to attendant, I was referring to the cinema as a whole - I'll shaft them for a few hundred more illegit screenings.

I saw it again this evening and enjoyed it even more than the first time. I also picked up on a couple of things I missed first time round. My friends loved it too. One friend seems to think another film shown I'm the last year or so had a similar storyline. Any ideas?

It didn't affect me but Liverpool ONE started film ten minutes early, which is a big part of the story. Still had latecomers and two walked without giving it a chance.

    Wasn't it another French one...

Given your rave reviews, I wished I'd seen it now, but given how tired I am with this heat, I'm sure I would have fallen asleep in the cinema!

Just saw 'Heartbreaker'. I liked it a lot: Hollywood comedies often don't make me laugh, but this was very funny, as well as having enough of everything else to keep it interesting. :)
