This was not a LL killing his tenant - this was a business deal that turned sour.

However 'Nick' operated in different times and made his money a long time ago by some very dubious tactics when it came to tenants.

    agree with this.

but its nothing to do with Money Saving which ever way I look at it.

Its a +1 for landlord registration..

Why, is it going to be against the rules for registered landlords to kill their tenants?

Same here. The letting agent tells me I'm not allowed to but since they lie about everything else I'm starting to wonder.

Well this was an interesting interlude....we've just managed to prove that some people kill other people and that some of those people who kill are LLs and some tenants, whereas some of the people who were killed were LLs and some were tenants.

There's probably a university somewhere who'd pay a massive grant for this research into the bleeding obvious.

to be honest, it would seem to be overkill [ha ha] if we're going to have standard contractual terms in ASTs which forbid it.

    There was a tenant
    There was a landlord
    There was renting taking place
    There was selling taking place

Can't think of a better thread to put it in that House Buying, renting and selling.

Why is everyone so uptight about this

I've seen threads with no mention of any of the above that blend in like a polar bear to snow.
I'll have some cheese please, bob.
