Landlord kills tenant

Dumbest post of the year!!!
This is like finding out the occupation of every murderer in history who killed to progress his business and then tarnishing all people in that business with the same brush.
Guy obviously a murdering psychopath. Fact that he was a landlord totally irrelevant to this forum.0 -

I think we're all horrified but it has no merit being on here as this is a PROPERTY area in the forum. The last time I looked we were not in the MURDER/CRIME section!0 -

I think it does have some relevance. Many tenants will at some stage find themselves in a position where somebody wants them to move for whatever reasons. This example shows that it may be a good idea to do some research into the individuals trying to force the move, for your own personal safety.
Deaths in this instance may be quite rare but other forms of torture/bullying are almost certainly more common.0 -
AMILLIONDOLLARS wrote: »I don't agree obviously. This article highlighted the greed of a particular landlord, who thought he could take a life cheaply in order to make a £2million profit on a property investment. This is a serious matter
for discussion. This landlord may have resorted to murder in this case, but there are landlords up and down the country resorting to illegal means of victimising their tenants, whether it be withholding deposits or finding ways of eviction. This case is the extreme.

Yes well done you are right I think a clause should be added in rental agreements outlawing the killing of the tenantChuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

The prime reason for the murder was a Property Deal he was hoping to pull off. The tenant stood in his way. How many Landlords have sitting tenants that they wish to get rid off? There are a lot of vulnerable tenants out there suffering in silence, this story may well help to bring their suffering to light. So yes this item involves discussion about property, tenants, letting, eviction and suffering.

Nobody is tarring anyone with the same brush.
I think it is perfectly reasonable to debate the greed over PROPERTY which may have led one individual to commit such a terrible crime.
Of course, those people who don't think that this thread has any merit could refrain from posting.0 -

Quite a few I think! In fact I was going to kill some tenants tonight, but your thread has made it too risky now. I also tried to kill some last week but I was a bit tired so just ending up wounding them.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

Well if there are many tenants suffering in silence I must be very charmed with my landlord or simply ignorant! Also are you insinuating that for every tenant that needs to be "got rid of" there is a LL waiting to murder them? To me this is a non property story but each to his own.0 -

quite right too, about time we had something like this. in my view it should be amalgamated with the no pets clause:
"Section 6
6.1 The tenant agrees not to keep mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians or fish including cartialigeous fish in the property
6.2 In return the landlord agrees to not kill the tenant
6.3 In the case of non-compliance by either the tenant or landlord of any of the terms within this section, the entire section is consider void."0 -
