And it is so dull, don't think was put on this earth to spend my time searching out the best fuel prices. Though that's probably a heresy in these parts, and know should make myself. Sigh.

:rotfl:Yes it is heresy - welcome to my world Mrs R

  • That's thrift karma, which feel sure works - pass up something you want but shouldn't have, and if you've been really really good, the goddess of thrift sends something nicer and cheaper your way. Worked for me on a number of occasions.

    I love this philosophy :T

Have been a v.g. girl and got another two NSDs under my belt, including today, so feeling especially pleased with that one. And still have about £3 left from last week's personal spends as a result, and in any event almost all the personal spends money last week went on Xmas things, so feeling am heading in right direction.

Also finally cleared my emails and organised a folder for surveys - have about 12 in there to do still, but did a few last night. Need to do another couple to clock up a £10 Amazon voucher from Lightspeed and now well underway with Valued Opinions. Most of those in my folder are from MORI so need to get started on those. Now have empty inbasket and sorted them, feel sure will be able to keep up better.

Also pleased as was going to add a book for one of my BFs to my Amazon Xmas order placed the other day, but dermurred as as it's recently published and still fairly costly, so will put voucher to good use on that.

On other front, have my first "consultation" meeting about my redundancy coming up next week with our HR peeps - can hardly wait. Think it's really going to happen and life of domestic goddessery awaits. Am born to it. Will have to get another job in fullness of time, but aiming to work smarter, not harder. Consultancy perhaps. Or a portfolio career. Nice.

Also need to be around more as went to see our puppy-to-be today. Even Mrs R, who has great trepidation about this new venture, could see how good it will be for our family. Tiny tiny sweet little pups - 6 weeks old, and coming to chez R.....next week!! Not sure yet which of the two is to be ours, as dealer (actually, should probably be saying breeder, but like notion of a dog dealer) wants to keep one - we won't mind either though. The DSs wants to call the one that's all white with one black ear Smudge, if he comes to us, and the other, white black and tan one, Reggie.

Reggie was very inquisitive and had a bit of an attitude, a swagger about him. Think he's actually Rock n Roll Reggie. Whereas Smudge was a bit quieter and more hesitant. But liked Reggie's style, so secretly hoping for him. Had a look at dog acoutrements today - guess it's like a baby, you could spend loads but they don't really need a lot. So yes, it's going to be an MSE-style dog. Though will choose the cutest lead, and some kind of shabby chic bowl arrangements. Imagine can do insurance via Quidco, and if so, will lose my Quidco virginity for Reggie (or Smudge).

Yes, quite excited actually - in an understated kind of way.

    That's me

  • Getting a puppy is SO SO exciting and then they grow....... Only joking, we have a lovely puppy who is now huge and the thing I have learnt is to make sure you have lots of chews around. We also have a cage which he sleeps in. I thought it was cruel at first but he actually loves it and goes there when he needs to get away from the kids. Means he gets told off less often as well...........

It has taught the kids responsibility and also made us do lots of free things as we are always taking him out for a walk. Excellent idea :)

Loving MrsR's diary - BUT - she owes me at least one hour which have spent reading (and grinning at) it.

Dogwise - go for the curious hound if poss - he'll wreck the house, but he'll be fun :)

Off to subscribe - MrsR will triumph, am sure:T

Oh Mrs R, you're still a virgin . I can assure you it is painless and strangely pleasurable. Wish i'd done it years ago. Now I feel like a wh**e. Been with Quidco, Fatcheese, Topcashback, and today it was The News of the World's Captain Cash :shhh:.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

    Good Morning Mrs R...

Actually now seems to be afternoon as the boss invaded my normal Monday morning routine!;)

But well worth the wait for the grin you've brought to my face.:D

My multi-quote thingy seems to be broken, so no snazzy replies today...

but just remember not to despair when you think you've not made progress, because even thoughts and plans are progress in the quest to being debt free!!!

    To mis-quote Edison:
Genius is one percent perspiration, ninety-nine percent inspiration.

OK so maybe it's more 50/50 but you get the drift...

    have a lovely week,
looking forward to your next weeks instalments!
