Thank you RT and Hypno for your posts. A NSD for me today.
In other news, inched a step closer to my longed-for redundancy today - looks like can all be formalised next week and might be off by Christmas. Wow!
In other other news- think the Rs are soon to be 6. No, not that, am pleased to say - my breeding days are behind me. No, we're getting a dog!
DS2 is besides himself with joy. It's a Parsons terrier, for anyone familar with dogs (which am not) - good choice? Have a lot of trepidation, tbh, but DSs are now of an age to play large part in its care - well, am not an early morning girl, and never leave the house without at least a smidge of make up, so don't think the early walks will be my thing! But will enjoy choosing the lead, a nice bowl and basket etc - shallow is my middle name, after all

Your diary makes me smile
Didn't know you were going for redundancy, what are you hoping to do afterwards? Hopefully they will pay you off well
How exciting about a new dog, how old is he/she? We have a puppy who is lovely but it is like a new child, wouldn't be without him though

Give it up for Mrs R, she had another NSD. And sorted and filed all her CC statements, and noted when the 0%s run out. Hhm hmm, smugness abounds.

Smugness completely deserved, I do think it is a woman's responsibility to remember CC 0% expiry dates............... well done on the NSD's, nearly had one but then had to buy food for children, just small things......1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

Hi MrsR - I'm one of those awful lurkers on your diary, but I love it!
Parsons Terriers are lovely - my family have a Welsh Terrier - he's mad but gorgeous.
You are very organised - thanks for the inspiration!0 -

In which Mrs R laments the lack of news to report
Honeybear and Dallas - why, thank you kindly. Personally sniff around on lots of diaries too, making the occasional post - but find it's as much as a girl can do to keep up with her own diary, let alone be off encouraging lots of others, as much as would like to, obviously. So thank you for taking the time to post on this little old thing.
Well, it's just a bit dull sometimes, this debt-busting, n'est-ce pas? Which isn't surprising, when you think of the fun we used to have, back in the mad bad spending days. And now we can't. Sigh.
Am in that monthly limbo when have made all my payments, so the only other excitement is going to come if other cash can be drummed up. So must do more eBaying, but a little lacking in enthusiasm this week - and , frankly, desirable objects are also in short supply, chez R. So must get back on the case asap, but cutting myself a little slack for now.
Anyway, 4th NSD in a row, so feel am picking up momentum there. Reckon am heading for 18 before the month's out.
And think must have forgotten to share my tremendous TK Max bargain from last w/e - a wonderful Union Jack cushion, bigger and better than the one I carressed so lovingly in Selfridges, for £29.99 - well, £29.68 when you take the oh, so generous VAT cut off. That's thrift karma, which feel sure works - pass up something you want but shouldn't have, and if you've been really really good, the goddess of thrift sends something nicer and cheaper your way. Worked for me on a number of occasions.
And was on verge of paying for the cushion, and a few things for Xmas, from my a/c, which would have been £45-ish, when realised the joint a/c could pay for the cushion, and had enough money from my personal spends for the week in my purse -actually, think might start saying pocket book, like RTandon27, in a kind of transatlantic way - ok, my pocket book - to pay for the gifts, so feel, in a perverse way, that actually saved £45. Which really did, kind of, as actually managed the money, IYSWIM, so got the stuff, but no extra money left my a/c. Yeah, it's a head game alright, this thrifty life.
Feel lingering sense of guilt that should be being more pro-active on the utilities front, and switching, but is just a bit mind blowing, all the tariffs and what-nots, don't you think?
Plus my own evil supplier put us on a DD that was too low when we last switched, a year ago, so we built up a debt by end of last winter, and then they upped our payments to a massive £197 a month, and whilst we're clawing our way back, we're not in the black with them yet, so don't suppose we can swap now, can we?
And it is so dull, don't think was put on this earth to spend my time searching out the best fuel prices. Though that's probably a heresy in these parts, and know should make myself. Sigh.
Still, in an attempt to get my homespun mojo back, am going to make Xmas puddings for gifts this weekend. Got to search out a cheap supply of those plastic basins, and then plan to wrap them in cellophane and some Shaker-ish ribbon. They'll look divine - or, perhaps, darling. So off now to search t'interweb for supplies. And might force myself to do some of the interminable surveys that clutter my inbox.
Yeah, rock'n roll
