Thank you. Have been lurking for a few days now:o I need someone like you to motivate me to save money and get my debts/mortage paid off. Have been a PAD member for quite a while now but keep going off the boil if i cant keep up with the daily payments:(. It does get me down at times then i realise how lucky we are that DH and I are both in jobs and can at least pay the bills no matter how slowly.
Y'know, PADing is great, but it doesn't work for everyone and their financial circumstances, so if you find it easier to pay things off in lump sums like I do, don't feel guilty about it - it's all about mixing, matching and doing it whatever way works best for you.

I'm trying this way - were going to turn this into a positiveBEAT_THE_DEBT wrote: »Hiya, Boysma you are always welcome here, and pickle come to dinner anytime! - can I pu an order in for a chip buttie..... joking aside you've had a compliment about ur food, positive.
I am down today:(:(:( - were all allowed down days, its part of the course
only £30 of od left - may only be £30.00 left but the positive is there is space on the overdratft, your obviously keeping on top of the figures to knoe that, I'm guessing previously yu wouldn't of known that
oh gets £300 paid in tom. - thats a massive positive - so means you only need the overdraft for today, I bet that yoy have everything you need in the house
I hate sailing so close to the wind! - sound mad, but thats abother good step, it has shown the turnaround in the way that you treat money, you know where you are, bet 12 mths ago - that thought wouldn't of even occured
I have been thinking of ways to get more money like more cc's and increasing mortgage but that wont help at least od is cheap! - you thought but you didn't go down the the cc route and maybe toying with the OD idea, but you have taken time to work out what is best for you, the other thing you looked but didn't do it.
I just have to keep cards in drawer will prob use mint card for shopping (grocery this weekend though to avoid any bank charges?:o
You'e taken the cards away from the purse, "prob use mint card" - I'm guessing that yiu've looked at all other options, prob used is a maybe, not I'l round wild round the supermarket thoughts.... thought about bank charges
We have 2 cards active cc's and paying rest off so thats ok isnt it?
This to me sums up all the positive - "paying off" 2 cards active, some people have 10..... some people may not agree but I always think you need a credit card incase of emergency, and its to hand
I seem to be losing confidence????????:( - "seem to be" - your not losing confidence, you just haveing a wobbly moment, think of it as beig at a road junction, your not quite sure which way to go, hence its the senic route not the fast motorway - where you could burn out on.
Help?

I would say call me ur fairy godmother, but I'm more the sugar plum fairy.
Everyone gets these moments with the debt free life, but ur going great guns, maybe work out what your new debt figure is, and it will be below 52k, then put that in your sig, (mine has everything but the kitchen sink, but its a mini motivation for myself), when my debts are paid the 1st thing I'm doing is taking dd to America, I've seen the trip, keep sending for the brochere when it changes, and very sad confession, I stick the cut out in a scrap book, for 2 reasons, one the incentive as thats my goal, and 2 so I can see that the prices have gone up (boo).
I know my loan finishes Dec 2015, but when everythuibg else is sorted, I want to be able to have thoselast few months loan money ready, I can only pay off a 4 points through the term. which I know that I can't do, but the comprismise I can make is to have the few months ready, then on personal note be deft free.
Apologies for the ramblings, xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

That's true, we are very lucky, but it's all relative and the debt free journey is not an easy one.
Could you promise yourself, that you won't buy anymore Christmas Presents but instead pay extra off your cards?
Or scour the house for Ebayables, perhaps do the Make £10 a Day challenge or Ebay Challenge to spur you on? It's free listing this weekend too!
Try not to be too down, but maybe changing tac will produce results
