Hiya BTD
I'd keep the car but only if you really need it. We scrapped DH's car a few weeks ago and got £120 for it. Wouldn't have been able to get another car with that, so I'm doing without. I live and work and DS6 goes to school in the same village. My car is now DH's car. It has done about 80,000 miles and last week cost us £90 for 2 front tyres (out of scrappage money) and £330 for a full service including changing the cam-belt. Shouldn't need anything doing to it for yonks now (fingers crossed).
Sorry to hear about the mortgage payment. Hope you get that sorted xLBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x

Hi BTD
Long time lurker here (not sure if I have posted on here before)
Are you on a DMP for all debts or just a select few?
Also I just went back to your front page and noticed your total debt, have you managed to reduce it at all?
The reason I am asking is because your credit rating will already be rubbish with your DH's self DMP so why not go the whole hog and put all the debts on a DMP? This will save you having to struggle all the time.
I think CCCS have a self help on their website, you enter all your details in and it gives you a few options without actually having to speak to someone face to face. Might be worth doing to see what they recommend.
