    Happy new year and if you are on theese boards reading this you are already on your money saving debt reducing journey!:j
    My personal mission this year is to not buy wine i can have wine but just not buy it as part of the weekley shop some months it has come to £40:eek::eek:.
    I can however ask for wine for valentines, mothers day , b day etc!!:D
    Maybe i should alow my self one bottle on pay day i will see i may also put £4 over each time i dont have a bottle and build up a summer hol fund??
    OH other job going well he did 12hrs yest enjoys it and work regular and plentiful there!:j
    I know 2011 is going to be my back on track off the bones of my arris year!!!!
    No new debt will be accrued and money will be saved!!!:T
    Ahhhh the smell of a new year!!!!:T
    Lets make it happen!!!!!

    Wow ur going great guns in directions, - def agree with asking for wine for birthdays..... but as an incentive, (if you get paid monthly), I'd go for a bottle on payday.

    Have you tried Aldi/Lidl for wine? It's meant to be good and loads cheaper than the Supers. I'm going to try and be an alcohol free zone for Jan - not looking forward to that! :o

    I now buy all my wine in Lidl, its not so bad and you get used to the taste, its just not as 'smooth'

  • Morning mse'ers:) right order of the day is take ds to w h smith to spend his christmas voucher. Tesco shop just enough till tues when money goes in.
    I have been very lucky in what people have given me so far in jan, i have had a hardly worn pair of black 3/4 boots, 100 tea lights,a folder and diary 3 bottles of wine abrand new pair of pj's for ds top gear ones of his nan and a new pair of school trousers.
    i am to the wire on my bank account cancelling some direct debits as will take me over limit:eek: i will reinstate has anyone else had to do this.?
    Dh lost adays pay because of the snow so that was unlucky but some people lost a lot more than that in other area's so we have to be thankful it was just one!;).
    Having gammon tonight for a change and no wine that will be a first ha ha:rotfl::rotfl:.
    Dh should have other job pay end of jan and he has overtime this week so we will catch up.
    My first priority is to catch up on c tax as i missed dec and gas electric and water. Only one payment missed but this is the first to be put right. Dh cc payments will be made aftet i am sorry i have apecking order lol.
