sorry - not sure where else to post.....
does anyone else encounter accidental self harm? for example when i am stressed i rub my toes together - they sometimes end up bleeding! i don't mean to cause that, but the rubbing of toes has almost become a habit i can't control
I now often have plasters on my toesI don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Hi I pick at my arms although Im getting better at leaving them alone. Its more of a zone out when I do it. Maybe putting some padding between your toes may help .0

Just wondering how long it took for folks to start feeling an improvement on medication?
I've been on Seroquel for quite a few months now & I'm still up & down like a yo yo. Last night I was in tears for no reason & the suicidal thoughts were really at the fron of my mind again.
My psych has said that I am at the being of a long road to recovery & there are other meds he can try if needs be.0 -

Thanks snookey. I agree it when I zone out. used to pull my hair out too without even thinking about it, but thankfully managed to stop that!I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Hi
I have been on seroquel for about a month now, and have seen no positive effects tbh.
I am sleepy and hungry (known side effects), but oddly am also finding myself getting really irriatable & twitchy on it. My Psyc review isn't until Sept, and GP has advised me to keep plodding on until then, whilst seeing her every 2 weeks, and to ring if any major probs, such as feeling suicidal.
Are you under a CMHT? Do they have an OOH support no?

after like 3 months DLA finally said no.
what I was expecting tbh, just a 3 month wait to hear it.
even though I wrote some long letter detailing my issues and my CPn did too, probably didnt even read it.

Hi
Was just wondering,my friend has bipolar and support from psychiatrist,CMHT and a CPN, and is fairing okayish on her new medication.
She was advised to apply for DLA which she did and has had the letter back from the DWP saying thanks for application and we are waiting for reports from your doctor and psychiatrist, was just wondering if any of you kind folk with bi polar had actually been sucessful in claiming DLA and at what rate...
Many thanks

Hi I get high rate care and low rate mobility. Its a lottery on what you get but having support to back up her care needs should help.0
