Angie - I'm a newbie here who is about 3mths in to a MRS at the moment and I've been keeping an eye on your story as the info has been invaluable - you can't know enough about the MRS cos it doesn't seem like anybody else does, eh?!!
Anyway so happy for you and your family and can only hope that we are in your situation one day soon.... tho we know it's probably gonna take months and I'm also a bit nervous about the Spending Review on Wed but hey ho, I'm a fighter like you so will keep at it and hopefully get the same result as you.... can't imagine what a weight off you must be feeling right now... well done you!

Thanks so much for all the lovely messages, I really am overwhelmed! Its nice to know people have been watching my journey all this time and the support here is amazing
.
I think I will probably still update with any further developments in case its of use to others going through mrs. My next task to tackle is looking into housing benefit as we were told we probably would be entitled to something, so need to get the forms sorted for that. And I need to await the contractors getting in touch, we have approx 3 weeks of building work that will be carried out by the Housing Association so will be glad to get that out the way.notfunnymoney wrote: »Angie - I'm a newbie here who is about 3mths in to a MRS at the moment and I've been keeping an eye on your story as the info has been invaluable - you can't know enough about the MRS cos it doesn't seem like anybody else does, eh?!!

Hi H
I am so pleased you have found some of the information helpful, just makes it all the more worthwhile. I know what you mean about the spending review, I wonder if they will scrap the mrs completely or just continue it for existing applicants? I really hope you won't be affected, please keep in touch and let us know how you are getting on. If you prefer to PM or even email me just let me know. Im here to help if I can. Good luck hun xSo_Sad_Angel wrote: »I am so pleased for you Angie....all the twists & turns , setbacks & sleepless nights, tearful PMs & posts were worth every single second as now you & your family have peace of mind to get on with your lives in your safe family home.

Virtual Twin Angie:D thank you
A break away is a wonderful idea, I do feel very drained and worn out with everything, but unless there's any Sun £9.50 holidays going that will have to be on hold until we can afford itxx
