    Hre is my previous post...

Dont bother with 3, I've had my NEC 606 (well 3 of them) since last Septmber and the service is poor, yes its cheap but not worth the bother. The signal around Blackpool and the Fylde area is very patchy, customer services (India ) are next to useless they fob you off wiyh try this try that to get the handset to work proprly but its no good. I had sent 4 corraspondences of to 3 to rty and resolve my problem, they have just got intouch with me now after 1 month.
DON'T BOTHER I have had mobile for 6 years now and this is the worst......

I'm quite sure the 8210 just works with the O2 network .
Iam also not sure about the numbers in my USIM if I could acces them as I only had a short play with thw 8210, it displayed on the screen it was updating the sim and I could wait any longer than a few mins. shame :(

I have the misfortune to be with 3 mobile phone, I actually have 2 accounts with them as my husband is in the forces-no company will ever talk to me due to the data protection act if the bill is in his name so it's in mine.

My contract runs out on the 24th June and I can't wait, the service is so bad I have complained to OFCOM(hint-3 mobile listen more if you complain to ofcom) BBC's Watchdog and called numourous times, the fact is that technology isn't as good as it needs to be, maybe i na few years the service will be but not yet, I can't wait to go back to one of the main other companys(ie o2, vodaphone etc etc) do yourself a huge favour and don't go with 3

    Handset:

    Nokia 7600, NEC 606 and NEC 808

    Most commonly used location:

    Kent/London/Europe 1 week per month.

    Ease and reliability and connection:

Fine, mostly 3G all the time, the Video calling is not too bad, need earphones though. Customer services (only had to call once) was on hold for 5 mins, the Indian chap I spoke to, I couldn't understand.

    Any other problems:

No, but I think that alot of people expect too much from them at this early stage, the tarrif is very cheap and they are new, well about a year old, (I have my first upgrade next week aswell) if they were able to compete with the likes of O2, Vodafone, I think you would be paying alot more than £35 pm for the 750 mins of anytime calls. Orange do a price match, however they will not match 3, simple answer, they would loose money/can't. They have definately got better since I have been with them. If I get dropped calls, i just switch to 2 (IE not looking for 3G) and the reception is fine. Also I only use the home line for receiving calls and the internet, so I pay next to nothing for that...........

Overall service and rating (out of 10):

At the moment 7, by the end of the year 8 - 9. More than I can ever give a number of these "top" companies that rip you off.

    Bob Philips,

Bob you say sometimes people expect too much from them and that the service is cheap but the thing is they are selling us these contacts claiming that the service is fine and that coverage for voice calls is about the same as any other network and that it's backed up by o2 if it fails... No matter how cheap they are if they say they are going to provide a service they should be doing it because it is missleading potential customers into buying. Plus it seems you are extremely lucky with the network in that area Damn lucky is what I say because the people I know on 3g have severe problems with just basic voice calls or even getting reception so where the hell does o2 come in then because it doesnt help.

3g are putting on all these swanky advertisements on tv making it look sooo glamorous no clue of any substandard network there. It'd deceit in my book... the service is dreadfull and often completely unusable
    Thanx
