Let the first tech support person go through their procedures but don't mention anything remotely technical to them, save that for the second line tech support who will know what you're talking about and will be willing (in my experience) to help you out.

Try to keep calm (difficult I know!), you'll find it easier to get your problem sorted.
  • According news.4gwifi.me The Three network will not have 4G untill later next year where as Orange and T-mobile will have it now

i bought a sony xperia s for cash to try out a pay as you go three sim. Six months later now have taken a big step and got a contract with them. Got samsung s 3. whats the point in having a cool phone with one gb of data. Last month used 9.2 gb. kids like net flix etc.
Thanks three for picking up the pace from the poor service you provided me many years ago.
The word about the scammers is spreading like marmite here in the westcountry.
We workers all love it and the ppc hate it :rotfl:
  • I recently bought an iPhone 4s from three as they were by far the cheapest but as previous posts have said if anything goes wrong it's infuriating.

When I first received my handset the touch screen didn't work, spoke to three who told me that they couldn't send me a replacement as there were none in stock. 2 hours, 4 phone calls and 9 customer service agents later they told me I could take it into an apple store to be fixed.

Worryingly the apple store told me that the serial number inside my phone didn't match that on my SIM tray and that the handset itself is registered to a guy in America and is locked on an American network.

I've now spent a total of 5 hours on the phone to 3 (at 5pence a minute it's costing me a fortune!) and still have no resolution as they've passed my case to the internal fraud team who I'm told would call and ask me some dodgy questions. Still no call, still out of pocket, still have a phone which's only use is as a paperweight and it may well be stolen from what I'm told.

Although all of their customer service agents are terribly polite none of them will be able to help you, several have just said "well this is a mess isn't it" "not great customer service your getting here" Do not buy from three you will regret it!

That's making me really wanna go sim only with giffgaff at upgrade time rather than the same with 3 as I've had a lot of bother with the poor cs recently too.
  • yep rgr that!!!

coming upto upgrade time just spent 7 months away paying 50 quid a month for a fone i havent used in the last 7 months. asked if they could wive the 89 upfront cost for i phone 5 and all they can do iss add it on to the bill see ya later 3- contracts suck--- sim only for me!! 25 per month rolling contract unlimited everything!!

I have spoken to second line tech three times over the last week and two supervisors have called me back. Despite trying multiple SIMs on multiple handsets, I still am getting pings in excess of 16000ms and averages over 3000ms. I also get between 10%-60% packet loss.

They claim that it "can't be a problem with the network as nobody else has complained". I find that very hard to believe. Both in the South East and in London I get the same issue using different cell towers.

At the moment they are refusing to believe my issue is real and, in the meantime, I'm wasting £25/month and having to spend tons at the internet cafe.

    What can I do?!?!?
  • Well, although I had no specific issues with 3, I have now moved onto T-Mobile on their recent £7.50pm 300mins (+500 T-Mobile Mins), 5000 txts & 750Mb data offer.

Called Three to get PAC, whilst they tried to keep me, after a short (less than 3 mins) conversation, was given PAC without issue.

I only moved due to the nature of the T-Mobile offer and, right to the end, had no issues with 3 CS over the 2 1/2 years was with them.

The problem with Three is when it comes to upgrade time the deals are rubbish, you might as well cancel the contract you were on and take out a fresh one.
