Right...so. I've spent the last four days in hospikal. Went in for a scan on to make sure everything was ok after the misscarige and as i was still bleeding they wanted me to stay in. So, wonderfully crappy few days spent in hosp and had another scan today, an awful internal one grrrrr as the bleeding still hadnt stopped and i was getting really bad pains and i am very anemic. Had the scan and they've found fibroidal non malagnent tumours growing in and ourside of my uterus. So obviously i am freaking out. After talking with the consultant they finally discarged me(wanted to keep me in for another three weeks) but after throwing a magor wobbler they've discharged me on medication to stop the bleeding and shrink the growths. I've got another scan booked for two weeks time and hopefully the meds work and they've shunk'd. If not i've got to have surgery to remove them, which ive been told might end up in a hysterectomy. Now im freaking out big time. I dont know what to do, what to say, how to feel, i feel like a walking zombie.
sorry for such a depressing post. The bonus is that i came home to find the house spotless, the little ones clothes sorted for their first day at school tomorrow and a quilt on the sofa ready for me to fall into. bliss. I am now shopping as i want a slow cooker, ice cream maker and bread machine. any tips? x0 -
Fee Fee - It sounds a very difficult situation. I see someone mentioned Headway and I know a couple of friends who had strokes whilst very young who use their services. It's definitely worth a try...
I don't know what else to say as I don't want to put my big fat feet in it. I know my DS is quite protective about his home with it being his secure environment. Fortunatley I'm now allowed to open the curtains but if he had his way he'd live in the dark with all of the windows closed. Caring for a disabled person can be very difficult but I find I have to look for the humourous moments....
This morning I was showing my DS photos his Aunty took on a recent trip to Swaziland. He replied that Africa was a bad place to live. Of course I had to ask why.... apparently they only get mud to drink which is why they are all brown. I was speechless....Toxic & Tired - Starting 2010 afresh :beer:0 -

Soappie , you're speeches sound like me, I used to do the AGM Treasurer speech and loads of people said they really enjoyed it and I was a natural especially after a glass or two of wine:rotfl:
Sadly, this meeting is at 10.30 tomorrow morning so I can't really have a couple of glasses of wine or Gordons before it. Though the idea is very tempting! Have organised a lift in and out of town (parking is horrible and expensive). NN is taking me in after her doctor's appointment (she's off on Wednesdays) and DD (who has tomorrow off) will pick me up when I call her.feefeelalabelle wrote: »

Zoe - big hugs to you too. Hope the bleeding sorts itself out. But how nice to come home and find things organised for you xxxI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I know im not qualifield in that profession but why is it im the one who answers my own questions and they stare vacantly!!!!!

I've washed up, cooked part of dinner, and done laundry, and had a bath so I feel all nice and clean! DH got me a nice card with a poem in it and a keyring that says I love you so that was very nice. I got him a Chelsea mug and a card. He's also having a round of golf as his main present and I'm having some new pj's.
My mum is ok, she slipped in the kitchen yesterday and her leg went out funny and she twisted her knee and landed awkwardly on her coccyx which is already damaged so she's been in agony ever since. She's got some really strong prescription painkillers and she says the swelling in her knee went down a bit over night. Fortunately my sister was there and helped her to get up as she says she wouldn't have been able to get up on her own as she can't bear any weight on her injured leg. Dad arranged to work from home today and tomorrow, I'm going over to look after her on Thursday as she can't manage the stairs and nearly faints from pain when she gets out of bed to go to the loo.
She will be ok tho, once she starts healing up. I feel sorry for her tho, she has a long term disability and catches every bug going and always hurts herself as her muscles are quite weak and don't support her body properly.
I've been writing this all day - sorry I never posted it sooner:
Hugs Kazm, hope you have a better day today
Sexy, I’m glad your day went so well y’day, hope the rest of the week goes well too, sounds like you are doing really great! It’s bound to be tiring getting used to a new routine, so take care of yourself
Welcome back Bunglegirl
Hope your back is better soon Orkney – are you able to go to an osteopath or chiropractor?
Jaynebryan good news about the DLA, I get that, it’s fab! It helps us so much to get that money, it makes a huge difference to us
Lady Liberty, glad the scan is all over now and hope you’re not too sore or worried, I hope you get the results asap
The thanks button has gone funny! It’s making a box come up on the screen! Sorry but not going to thank until it’s mended
Serena, glad your first day back went well, and that you have a nice group. I’m sure you will crack the difficult group!
Hope you feel better soon Jinky, take it easy and have lots of rest and fluids
Hugs Blimus hope you feel less angry soon
Jo, glad to hear that your job is going so well and that you’ve had some pay back from your old job
Pigpen what great news about the housing benefit!
AJ how great that your DH noticed your hard work!
Mudbath, that’s a great story about your dad and the Canadian family, how kind of them
Feefee, I’m so sorry things are so bad. Big hugs. I really hope you get the help you need, I can’t remember where you said you live? I’ve got a feeling I asked you and it was miles away from me, wish I could help you.
Have you got any kids in your road who would at least walk the dog and feed the chickens for pocket money? (although saying that, would walking the dog give you a break for half an hour or can you not leave DH on his own at all?
Is there a local charity that might be able to provide support and ideas of who can help? ETA:see Valli has provided a link for one.
Washing and ironing: there are usually nice ladies that want to do that – see the local paper/ads in the local shops (get someone to look for you if you can’t get out) or you can post a wanted ad in the local shop and I’m sure someone nice would get in touch about it (good idea to specify non-smoker if you post an ad). They usually would do it in their own home so you could just hand the stuff over at the front door and they wouldn’t need to come in
Big hugs Zoe, hope the growths shrink
Gsysezz hugs for you, sounds like you are in a difficult situation xx"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Totally no point in doing any flying in front room as OH is preparing the walls for plastering - chasing wires I think it is called, when you hide them in the wall and under the floor.
Plus designing a feature for the main wall, glass bricks and floating shelves are involved but I lose track after a while. OH is dyslexic but super-bright when it comes to DIY type stuff and he gets cross when I can't "see his vision".
Instead spent half-hour sorting through whole house stuff filing system, washed towels and hung out, mopped floors and cleaned oven. All before work. Hurrah.
Also, MIL and SIL had huge row and MIL threatening to go back to France. Shouldn't laugh but after two days SIL has some small taste of what I put up with for weeks at a time last year.
PS the TV came into my life after OH rang from Dixon/Currys etc saying MIL (mine not his) was buying a TV for herself and a camera for his niece and if we got a TV too they would knock £200 off it.
At the mo' we have their 15-year-old rear projection thingy TV which they claim cost £2k at the time!!
