Think of the calories you've saved her!
Been to the tip... scrubbed the bathroom tiles with cream cleaner and a scourer... went shopping (so my dad is cooking me steak, new potatoes, runner beans followed by strawberries and local ice cream)
Made ratatouille yesterday with all the ageing veggies & out of date tins of tomatoes, so I can live on that for the rest of the week.
Having a G&T with locally made pork scratchings! (Penpen... when Crackling is ready for roasting, make sure you don't waste anything... use the skin for snacks!)0 -

I was wondering. When you do each of Pigpen's lists, do you completely do every room every time? Do you only sort cupboards if they require a tidy? I ask because I am gradually getting to the stage where I am able to get to all areas to dust and hoover and almost all of my cupboards are now tidy both on top and inside. Is this the point where people then just do what needs doing and use the rest of the time for yourself?
I find that if I do a quick clean, tidy or wipe of the cupboard or whatever then it is five minutes once a week rather than hours every couple of months, same goes for windows, oven, etc. Tag kindly set me off on it with her wipe the oven every day theory.
Toots - boys are back at school thanks. The bathroom has stalled through lack of funds, but I got my first big consultancy payment for a long time today so we should be able to start again once that clears.
Hugs for Rosepink, G&B, and Jinky.
DS2 got me up several times in the night so I am read for bed. WM and DW are on, everything is ready for the morning and we cheated and went to the pub for tea to celebrate the improved cash flow.

GnB ((big hugs)) that is so difficult for you too, I know it's up to your Dad but it was awful when DPs Nana told me she had been diagnosed but not to tell her family. Take it easy honey, you've not had it easy lately. Pleased to hear DD is enjoying being back, she's a super star that one isn't she
Toots nice to see you home
Jo pleased to hear the job is going so well
Mudbath what a wonderful thing for the family to do for your Dad, did they know him?
Pigpen great news on the HB, hard to get it for mortgage/after a split. They have denied my friend it as her working partner still coowns the house but he gives her fluff all.
Rosepink hope your Mam is ok. The others are right, your partners condition is probably maleness, men don't do emotions unless they are gay usually :rotfl: Thing is because of your illness no matter how much he showed you, you might doubt him anyway, it's just one of those things you've got to work through between you. Maybe your faith can help, as a non religious person I can't comment on that. Does your faith give guidance when faced with such matters? Well done with the weight loss, I don't even dare bring the scales to the new house.
ajmoney well eventually he will noticeyou must be doing a good job
Dusty have you tried Freecycle for a bike? What a good idea for Waitrose, we had one in Durham but it closed down, too expensive for me
hex, wine, at 6.18pm....rough day honey?
juliejim ((hugs)) not good to have a bad day on the first day back, hope it improves x
embb if she takes the wee wee say no, you are too nice, get DH to deal with her next time
soappie fingers croosed the flat completes asap!
pigpen pleased to hear she enjoyed it, however knowing what you have said about her personality I would have been more suprised if she didn't walk in and take over. Stop the bricking it over the uni start, you will be fine and you know you will!
gsysezz council house here too. I am having a guess but if his posh friends are anything like 90% I know, they also have debt coming out of their lugs! A 'friend' of ours is going through a messy divorce, she always seemed the rich one with all the designer stuff, posh house, well like you say holiday home too.....now she's confessed they have over £100k in unsecured debt, will probably loose money on bother properties....messy! Face value they looked like the 'posh ones' but no just a good credit rating, standards above their income and sheer stupidity. I've had similar responses with my boys, goes over the head now.
jaynebryan hope it helps you cope with your sons disability
LL pleased it went ok, well apart from the vein thing, my liver specialist always says he doubts I have any :rotfl: meanie! Hope you enjoy having DS home
serena pleased it isn't as you feared
Triker done! Sorry to hear you aren't feeling as good today, hope it settles soon x
Wohooo when did this come back on, haha, means I got something done I suppose.
Right another 9 bags and boxes unpacked, loads of new stuff up in the kitchen (this moving lark is costing a fortune!) so got shelves and rails like I had in the old house and liked. Went to Homebase for screws and came out with a new mirror and a loo & towel holder for the downstairs toilet which of course still need to go up. Got the new filing cabinet plus a metal file box for important documents, microwave rack too which is waiting to be put up, I was going to part with it until DS2 started wanting porridge again on a morning and it's easier. Dishwashers on again, new plates in there as we smashed quite a few at the old house.....I*** have changed the style which is a bit of a pest. All the shoes and coats sorted as DP and his brother also put up the coat racks, backpacks too *remind me the kids won't need new backpacks for years* and I have a back of a door with hooks on for all my bags, well ok the ones I am using...I like bags.
What haven't I done, mainly boys hair cuts, they still look like mopatops, but will get it done some time this week. DSs seem to be getting on ok at school with the new teachers which I am pleased about, DS1 seemed to clash a bit with his teacher last year so I am a bit relieved it's changed, the LSA has moved with them. Unfortunately his little girlfriend hasn't moved with him but he still sees her a lot so sure he will be ok with it soon. I've picked up another few boxes from the old house too while I was over there.
The gas board (United Utilities I think) came out, cleared the mess up and put tarmac back down so DP straight away went for his car cleaning stuff as he could use the drive. Unfortunately as some know it's his OCD! SKY TV have got a nasty but well worded email off me regarding them messing us about. The engineer today said it should have been done, he would have so DP is livid. He spent a full day putting the dish/cables up and it cost me £40 for the cable.
Kitchen now needs clearing up, stuff putting on the racks/rails....I know I have hooks somewhere I got for the last house. Oh spice rack I got too that hangs off the shelf (yes I think we own half of I***) will go set the DW away, oh it works sooooooo much better than the one at the old house....then bath/bed for the boys....oh yes need to make our tea too. I can't have my kitchen star because the dining area is full of boxesThen think this evening will be sorting out paperwork into filing cabinet (I actually love sorting paperwork out into files
bit obsessive)
One day I might be more organised...........
