gsy - go you for taking control of your life. I think colestrol testing is a 12 hour fast, google it and take the time away from when you appointment is (I took a flask of tea and biscuits in the car to scoff immediately I came out of the surgery)

I am slowly getting there, another half an hour and I think the living room should be done. Hall and stairs only take about 20 minutes so I add the landing onto it, 2 HHC's should do it and then I can hit my own jobs!

    HHC 2.50-3.20 anyone?

back abit early but oh well in my HHC i made all the beds, put the DW, TD and WM on S+S the kitchen.

GSY thank and OMG i can't believe a nurse actually said that although one of the doctors tried to give my painkillers to a pregnant woman sitting oppersite me lol. well i have oesteoporis so am constantly breaking something doesnt help that i am also extremely clumsy lol but yes it does get tiring having to explain everything all the time and as much as OH hates coming up the hospital with me because how it looks he has to watch DD so doesnt have much choice, and after my fall down the stairs i came out of the hospital with a broken collarbone, radius, 2 ribs and a lovely shiner and all OH could say that it was a bit of a drastic way to get out of cleaning lol

This might be a slightly extended HHC as I reckon I get a few extra things done too. I am going reward myself with a cup of tea when I am done and maybe something nice too :D

I am still sitting here trying to list on ebay. My decluttering is going really slowly as I keep forgetting to save changes at the end of the listing, or something daft like that. DH is fast asleep in the armchair. See, we have already turned into two old ducks!!!

Had a rest rather than a snooze, not for the want of trying I just couldn't switch my brain off.

Toots :o I'm afraid I backed down and went with the amount she offered me, it's still a good amount and I'm happy with it, it wont happen again though. Wise words my friend, thanks x Thing is with the ironing I don't do it so I have to substitute it with something :p I don't even mind ironing, I'd rather iron than clean the utility out :D suppose I could get littleys pile down and do that  I'm rambling aren't I?

I've hung some washing out cause it's very warm and breezy heresowont takelongto dry, S&S'd the kitchen and thumbed through a catalogue soI could declutter it.

ETA I also needtoclean the space bar on my keyboard

greenbee - i remember you once saying you make your own muesli (sp) - can you give me the ingredients?

I don't use a recipe, but basically I make up a cereal mix (which I also use for porridge) using a combination of:

    jumbo oats
    porridge oats
    rice flakes
    millet flakes
    buckwheat flakes
    barley flakes
    wheat flakes
    oatbran
    wheat bran
    wheat germ

To it I add a combination of seeds:

    hemp
    sunflower
    pumpkin
    sesame

    and roughly chopped nuts:

    hazelnuts
    almonds
    brazil nuts
    walnuts
    pecan nuts

and chopped dried fruit (make sure you get sugar free)

    dates
    figs
    apricots
    peaches
    pears
    prunes
    plums

    and a few dried berries

    cranberries
    cherries
    strawberries

and possibly some raisins if I'm short of fruit.

You need a big mixing bowl to make it in, and I store it in a variety of glass jars or large tupperware boxes.

    ((((hugs)))) GnB

Pigpen - sounds like you have a similar problem to me. I narrowly escaped being given a mirena coil (now I know more about it, I would have refused from the outset!), and have been told to lose weight, eat more vegetables & soya (tofu) and exercise more. The exercise DEFINITELY works! Reflexology has also been helpful.

Toots - good to see you back. I'm in Devon having a few days holiday in the fog with my dad...

Rose - listen to toots & dusty. It's great advice. Don't worry about your DH not being able to express himself, that's part of being a bloke - but it must be hard on both of you being in such a small space, and also the fact that you don't go out and chat to other people probably means that it's quite stressful for him as well knowing that he's the only real company/social interaction you have.

Can't remember what else I was going to say... I've been into Totnes and done some shopping. Sprayed the bath/shower with bath cleaner and left it to soak in ;). We're sorting out all the bedding this afternoon and working out what to wash/leave/take home for dog bedding.

Hopefully the sun will shine tomorrow...!
  • Hi All

    :xmastree:

Can I be added back onto the list, I have been flying with yous but not had time to read thread or post (not that I got any days complete as I had the two bairns under my feet all through the holidays).

I will update later after tea, off to pick DD from dance club.

Checking in from my 45 minute HHC!

I finished moving stuff and hoovering in the living room, and did everything needed to the hallway, stairs and landing and ... I have even managed to tick something off my list! :j:j:j

[STRIKE]Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house![/STRIKE]
    Extra DONE :j
    1. [STRIKE]Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.[/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself[/STRIKE]
    3. [STRIKE]Clean a window or two.[/STRIKE]
    4. [STRIKE]Get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be, or better still give them to their owners to put away themselves[/STRIKE]

    • [STRIKE]Vacuum pack bedding[/STRIKE]
    • Package stuff up from course at work and put in loft/put away
    • Work out what to do with other stuff in room
    • Tidy on top of wardrobe
    • Move chair back downstairs
    • Put shelves in cupboard for books
I am now enjoying my cup of tea while I decide whether to do something else in the spare room or finish the kitchen off.
