Well done Katie - I hope you're ok and the next few weeks are better for you.
These are the nails on my right hand (assuming the link works):

The nails on my left hand aren't quite as long - I suspect this is because I'm right-handed so my left hand is usually doing nothing and is therefore free to be chewed on!
Your cuticles look all nice and shaped, mine look like scraggy squares
well done
and JoJo, they are fab clawsnever have said you'd ever bitten them

Wow well done they look great :j
Anyone know where I can get a pen that does the white bit on a french manicure, but easier?
Yup. Larger Boots stores. It needs sealing over with a standard coat of varnish, etc, but it's ok, if a little violently white. Bloke decided that he would use Seche ridgefiller for the tips instead, using an extra layer to build up the colour.
My cuticles were terrible when I stopped biting and for a while, they looked even worse. But they just sorted themselves out with a bit of handcream and cleaning over the first few weeks. Just got a freebie L'Occitane handcream with InStyle magazine - easily worth the £3.50 cover price - and I'm waiting for another delivery of various handcreams and soaps this week (yay!) It's nice being able to look down at my hands and not think 'ouch' or 'ewwww' anymore.
Thanks for the compliments - it's really surprising how much my hands have changed in such a short time - I hope it is an encouragement to everyone else!
xxx Jojo xxxI could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
My nails are now the same length that they were when I bit off 3 of them a few weeks ago ... eeek! I must NOT chew them this time!
I'm experiencing one of the disadvantages of longish nails - I've had some sort of allergic reaction or something and have an itchy rash and keep scratching - I managed to draw blood this morning . I need to try and sit on my hands until I see the nurse this afternoon! Well done Mommyme! Hope everyone else is doing well too. I just treated myself to a dark grey nail polish but I've got to pluck up the courage to wear it - I still think like I have short scruffy nails!

Go for it Silaqui - maybe wear it on a day when you're not going out to get used to your new long colourful nails first? I put red nail varnish on yesterday  but I took it off pretty quickly cos it scared me lol.
I haven't bitten for a while now (not sure how long exactly - will have to work it out!). I think I've found a comfortable length for my nails so I'm going to try and maintain that now.:www: Saving for a deposit - Target £30k by 24/03/14 (30th Birthday!) :www:

Fab well done Alizarin! I've done the same, I let them grow to just past the ends of my fingers, tried for a bit more but didn't like it so have kept them at this length. When I get a bit more used to it I might try a bit longer. The problem is, the little finger and ring fingernails grow slightly upwards so they will look really weird if I let them get too long.
I went for it with the grey nv, wearing it today and tomorrow and will see if I dare wear it for work on monday!
