If the court found in their favour could they put conditions on it? One review says use a wedding co ordinator to stay on their backs'?

    Lexxi,

I have no idea .... if we lose then no part of me would want to get married there after all of this. There is too much bad feeling there and I could not stand to look at the man, let alone go into his establishment and spend more money (there would have been drink on top and accomodation for guests which I am presuming would raise another £5k plus - not money I want him to have). We would either lose the £5000 or since we have paid for food for 100 people, would probably invite 100 homeless people for a bit of grub on us (they would have to be teetotal though so as not to spend more money) ;)!!! Unless anyone can think of any alternatives?!!!!

If you had to resort to having a 'do' there (which I hope never happens and you get your money back) I would suggest telling them that you don't want your wedding but instead a party for a significant birthday (made up if necessary) and invite as 'guests' from the local press, any magazines you can get interested and might pay you for the article they write and try to get as many venue guides/resteraunt(sp?) reviewers etc to go, then you should invite folk off here who are nearby and some friend who can all leave appropriate reviews on trip adviser and any other review site you can find, having read the recent review about the wheelchair user (I think I found the right venue on trip adviser from following the thread from the begining!) it would be worth trying to find a disability rights group and inviting them along to see how they're treated!
Just a few suggestions, I hope you never have to and your money is returned to you and your OH, I hope it is resolved soon x

Just to say thank you all for your support and an extra big thank you to quink who has given me the link for another forum with a user who has a problem with the same venue. I cant post a link as the venue is named on that forum. She is looking at losing a £2500 deposit. :(

Off for press launch tomorrow (nothing to with the venue lol!). I am so very proud of my H2B, we have been out filming on the beach today. Keep an eye out on BBC news programs tomorrow. And sky.
At least all this has kept my mind off court on Monday afternoon. :D
