Minxy Bella maybe your right love and atleast he is safe and well at home with his family. It must be so soul destroying for him to have this set back but he will soon pick himself up and find something else to concentrate on (maybe looking for wedding venues) You never know what could of happened breaking a world record for something like that is going to be tough it's saved him from more agony with a poorly fitting leg.
Beks, I'm so glad that we have helped you through this I know we are only online to most people but I think that this has brought us all much closer as females. I did edit my post last night about him being a horrible little man even though its 100% true I promised to be a good girl. I noticed the TA reviews are getting worse
I can't wait until you set a new date if you need any help with anything I am more than willing to help you both have your dream day. I can't believe we made first page on google with THE BLAZING DONKEY IN HAM SANDWICH. lol heheh I'm just naughty.
Anyway sending you all love hugs and kisses (minus the cold)

Seeing as it has been proved in court he would have great difficulty
Slander is the spoken or transitory form of defamation of character, a legal term that refers to a falsehood presented as true which could harm the reputation of a person or entity. As for slander and libel, everything I have said is 100% true, this can be proved in court too. However, the only thing that would worry me is the name calling of him. Its nothing less than he deserves as he is all of those names but people do need to be careful and prehaps iot might be advisable to remove a few of those names. I will have a look through at my posts too but with 950 odd posts to check out, it might take me a while lol!!!
I was more thinkng of the Facebook group, TBH. It's easy to get carried away saying something that might seem fairly innocent (and not even necessarily that untrue in terms of personal characteristcs!), but that a person not happy at getting their comeuppance might wish to take umbrage with and try, if nothing else, to sue for, if it's in the public domain.
I just woulnd't like Basil Fawlty to have any opportunity to try to get back at you or anyone supporting you, that's all! Please call me 'Pickle'

As a limited company, his accounts are technically in the public domain and are available from Companies House.........;)
I'm sure they would make interesting reading. But not for me: I have other things to be doing.Good luck to whoever that may be: I can't imagine the books will be lodged there for much longer as I can't see them staying in businessi if they are as bad as the reviews!

Actually, this is a really fair comment. Just a few months ago, there was a particularly nasty FB group that was attacking a cyber-friend of mine, so badly that she got the police involved and it all got rather serious.
So, I'd advise anybody who might want to post a comment to proceed with caution rather than a full-on 'steam release'.

I agree with inapickle. Some of these FB groups can get out of hand and just typing something which you think is completely innocent can come back to haunt you.
Just think of that bloke who posted on Twitter that he was going to blow the airport up because of the snow. I think he ended up with £1,000 fine or something like that.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -
i cant see any facebook page about it0

beks' review will be on within the next 48 hours and afaik there isnt a facebook group yetI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0

Bubbles, yes you are correct. The trip advisor comment will be on within 48 hours. I only did it yesterday and it takes about 2 days to be approved.
There is no facebook page and I am not sure if I will set one up. I do want to publicise but a free for all page for people to comment on, as said above, might not be the way to go. Some of my friends would have some very choice words and I dont know if I want to be held responsible!!!
I would ask people on here to delete all personal attacks on the man in question. I totally agree with the comments but now the name is publicised, as Inapickle (who puts it so succinctly) says, I would not want anyone who has helped me or me for that matter to get into trouble for personal attacks (however true they might be).
And Minxy_Bella - yes, I too am a bit of a karma believer for both our issues. There has been a reason for all of this (although I am yet to find out!!). OH is still upset but I know in time, he will come to terms with it and things will settle down again. My knowledge of the small claims court has certainly improved as a result of the wedding problems. I just hope its not a sign that OH and I should not be getting married!!0 -
Wow!
I only actually found this post for the first time yesterday. What an amazing journey you have been through! I just wanted to say congratulations for sticking with this and getting the result you deserve. So many people would not know their rights in this situation and this thread reads almost as a 'how to' guide for those in a similar situation.
Hopefully those in a similar situation as you were back in Sep due to the terrible service at The Blazing Donkey at ham, sandwich will be able to use this as a guide to help them get their money back!
Just wanted to make sure it was clear that I am shocked by the terrible service and attitude of the staff at THE BLAZING DONKEY AT HAM SANDWICH.
I wish you and your family all the best and I hope you are able to have the wedding of your dreams! I agree that the north pole decision is fate in my eyes and if it were me I'd see that as a sign for the date you should get married - maybe you could climb a mountain together and take your vows at the top? It would be a great symbolf or what you've been through together.
Once again ... I would say the THE BLAZING DONKEY AT HAM, SANDWICH really is the worst possible place for anyone to plan a celebration and I would never recommend it to anyone and will avoid it likethe plague!
