I got one of these about a month ago from TribalUK, and I love it! Some of it's features are better than Sky+.
Available at Bridgwater, Weston, Yeovil, Barry. OOS at Taunton, Worle, Cardiff.

Gogt mine today and am having a problem.

Do all freeview boxes jump occasionally? Also my digital aerial id sited in the loft and when i go to the techbical page it says i have a Strength of 6 and a quality of 8. Will this affect anything. Surely i need it to be higher? If so i'm gonna need a bracket to fix it up outside. Also what about taking the feed from the aerial to a splitter so that i can plug my other freeview boxes in as well?

    Any help appreciated.

Can anyone confirm if this is excluded from their 16 day guarantee or not?

I'd ignore the strength/quality indicators. Mine say I have 50% when watching most channels. All work except channel 5!

I'd say you definately need to mount the aerial outside, I think that would pretty much cure your jumping problems.

They'll be excluded due to the freeview element

Also they will ask you for TV license details, their computer seems to link up to the database too as they initially had problems finding my license earlier! (Didn't purchase this item)

OOS in all stores around me, but can order for home delivery
  • It hasn't jumped all night since i posted! It seems to be working great. Can i hook a dvd up to it and record a dvd straight onto the hard drive?

Why should the freeview make a difference to the 16 day return policy?

They never asked me for anything - took it out of the shop and they don't even know my name let alone my address !
Can't see why they would want to know anyway- it's TVs that are licenced not tuners!

I assume its to stop people from using Argos as a free trial for Freeview. Ie. buy it, return it if you can't receive it.

Everytime I've bought a freeview box they've taken my details. My first Nokia, the one I got from Aldi. I think its TV's and anything that you hook up to receive a TV signal. Ie. Freeview, Sky, Telewest/NTL, TV's (obviously), video recorder's (RIP)

DON'T use a splitter! you'll make it the recepetion worst. The best thing to do in this case is buy some good & I mean good cable, rewire it using the same route, I guarantee your signal improves.. Good quality 57 strand should be fine. Good luck fellow
