    Anyone considering purchasing a freeview hard drive recorder should visit the following site first;

    https://www.digitalspy.co.uk/terrestrial/reviews

    Sadly I only found the site after two disastrous months of Digifusion ownership !!. These products are great in principle but their reliability is still questionable - my advice to anyone buying one would be to make sure you keep the box and the guarantee.
  • They look ace, I want one! The only argos i can find in north London with one in stock is Kilburn.

    On a side note, do any DVRs have VGA out?

    Picked up my one in Abingdon today - working a treat! The box comes with a special offer from Argos of half price scart lead, which we took advantage of. But just to point out that the box contains a scart lead included with the box. It is not however the gold plated scart, and at half price we paid £3.99 for the gold version!

    Hi all - if it's any use I bought a pace box similar to this two years ago for double the price. It only had 10Gb so records up to 10 hours. It is the best gadget I ever bought as it is so much easier to use than videos - a godsend in our house when we have to go out during the middle of Big Cook Little Cook!! I don't know anything about the quality of the Thomson, but it does look a good price.
  • I've reserved mine for tomorrow! Looking forward to setting it up.

    No more arguments hopefully!

    Quick question, would i be able to hook a dvd player up to this to record dvd's from?

    Hi, Thankyou, mine will be here on Monday. Used to have a good old Tivo, but got fed up with the subscription. The other links look interesting on upgrading the hard drive too. May be an interesting project for the autumn time, in the run up to winter. (I know summer isn't even here yet, but you gotta get the bargains when you can!)

    I think these are £99 in currys, on their website anyway (http://www.currys.co.uk/product.php?sku=409686).

    Thanks for the heads up.

    Just reserved mine for pick up in Chelmsford.

    Gonna get a plasma TV tomorrow too so the timing was perfect.
