Not sure I understand your point - is it about inflation?Mewbs, where I politely disagree with you, is this bubble is valued in terms of paper currency with ink on. It's basically valued in terms of toilet paper, and not very good toilet paper at that.
How many pieces of paper with ink on should a house be worth ... who knows?

Tell the truth? Er what? Are you the self proclaimed sayer of the Truth on MSE? What utter nonsense. You are a poster. No more or less than that. You have a version, a story, that you portray quite forcefully as the truth. Some may well believe it.Like I said Mewbie, tell the truth to bears and the best you'll get is a patronising ad hominem like that. You're contemptible really.
I don't.0 -
It's a possibility. Inflate away the debt, prevent prices from dropping any further and off we go again. It might just work.Pretty much, yes.
Is that what you mean?
If it is why don't MSE run a poll and ask the shee, er, people whether they think the twin impact of QE and artifically low rates will lead to a return to inflation?
Until then... I have obviously no answer.0 -
Sheeple is a horrible word. Used in arrogance by people that have little to be arrogant about IME (sorry old thing, big fan of your work usually).
Thanks for that. It needed someone who gains a healthy level of respect on this forum to come out and say that.
Sheeple is a term that should stay on HPC where bitter people can use it at will.0 -
If it is an accurate word then why not use it. Shall we use the word zombie instead?
edit: actually, I quite like the word zombie.Favourite hobbies: Watersports. Relaxing in Coffee Shop. Investing in stocks.

I don't think many people believe the official inflation figures, this is why they're piling into gold, back into houses and into stocks. They think inflating away the debt is the most politically viable solution.Favourite hobbies: Watersports. Relaxing in Coffee Shop. Investing in stocks.

As I've already pointed out it originated long before HPC. But maybe you could ask the Abuse team to make it one of their obscene words? After all we wouldn't want to frighten the shee, er, people would we?Thanks for that. It needed someone who gains a healthy level of respect on this forum to come out and say that.

Now I appreciate Generali doesn't like the word but hey.0 -
