I love cold pasta with pesto and salad - cucumber, tomatoes, olives etc.
But for something that would be good hot as well why not cook your pasta and sauce and then roast some vegetables with some italian herbs (oregano) and mix them in as well. Yummy!0 -
Hi
I really like the pasta salads from the supermarket and would love to make my own. I especially like the creamy ones but I dont want to pile on the calories toooooo much.
Ive got some cooked chicken at the moment which would be quite nice......0 -
To make a nice low fat pasta sauce use some low fat cream cheese and let down with a little milk or natural yoghurt until it is a nice consistency. I like to use cream cheese with chives or garlic and herbs to add extra flavour. Stir this through pasta and then add chicken or tuna and loadsa veggie - sweetcorn, cherry toms, cucumber, peppers etc. Whatever takes your fancy really!
My other fav is pesto and pasta cold for lunch - have a look on here for alternative pesto recipes, for example, spinach or rocket so you can use what you have in. would be nice with a bit of chicken in it.The Best Things in Life Are Free0 -

Hi dreamer,
There are lots of lovely recipes on this older thread that should help so I've merged your thread with it to keep all the suggestions together.

I really like pasta salad, and usually buy pots from Asda or tesco(like below), but would like to make it myself.
I have tried in the past, but it never tastes very nice.
Does anyone have a 'Chicken pasta salad' recipe that doesn't involve buying lots of expensive ingredients?
