  • Tired Mum-DD is really well thanks! Being really sick at the moment, that'a a good sign :)
Bargainbird- I'll get over it, that's the trouble with MS, it leaves you vulnerable to catch these things, but there is always someone worse off than me!
    I Believe in saving money!!!:T
A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!

  • Forgot to say earlier
    Go Siavash!! for tonight BB:rotfl::j:j:D
  • Good morning all. Weather is decidedly undecided here at the moment. What's new? Plenty of wind still and back and forth between clouds and the sun coming through. I'd like to get out in the garden to do some weeding today as I never made it out yesterday due to a nap that went a bit longer than planned.

This morning, I've managed to drink coffee like it's going out of style. I did tidy around and dust the flat. The bathroom is clean and I'm off to hoover in a few minutes. I put a different mirror up in the bathroom this morning. The cabinet that was there had no usuable mirror to it as it was very small and against the wall. It is a temporary hanging as it needs to be fixed to the wall properly. And with a masonry wall, I need a drill.

I'm dropping hints now that I'd LOVE a drill for Christmas. :D DH thinks I'm nuts anyway. Last year I hinted him to death for my SC. After he had gotten it, all his mates said, oh you're gonna be in trouble for getting that for her!! :rotfl: He wasn't, I love it!!!!!!! I like pretty type gifts too, but I guess I'm practical at heart. Give me something I'll enjoy having and using and I'm a happy gal.

Afternoon plans are undecided at the moment. I have a meeting from 1.00 til 2.30 that I have to be at. After that it's either paint the replastered part of the ceiling in the lounge or getting a few groceries in. The whole ceiling should be painted however covering the plaster will help so much in the looks department. I'm so glad I'm basically done with the other flats and am starting to get the enthusiasm back for doing ours.

Tea tonight will be HM chicken noodle soup from the stock I made yesterday. It really did turn out lovely. I think also a small lettuce, tomato and red onion salad and a grilled cheese sandwich to go with it. Not sure on a pudding yet or if we'll even have one. Depends on if the baking mood strikes.

Lots of (((((((((((((((Gentle Hugs))))))))))))))))))) to all. Hoping for a peaceful day for you.

    Peyton xx

  • Good Morning!

I was really fancying a walk this morning but its raining :( Good job I have my knitting to get on with.

We are going into Hornsea for some fish & chips this afternoon. I need a little treat to take my mind off the fact I will back at work on monday after 7 weeks off. To be honest though I will be thankful to be back in my routine. I am in danger of turning into a lazy slob :)

I am looking forward to the BB final too - I want David to win!! Na Neu Na Neu !!
  • Hi Seasideshack:D
I was very much torn between David and Siavash (loved David in the task when he went to London..hilarious) but the fact that BB has tried to humiliate Siavash in recent weeks has made me side with him;)( and he is my type of bloke;))
    I hope Sophie doesnt win..what a numbskull:rolleyes:
Oooh better get some OS in...am just changing the beds and hoovering upstairs:rotfl:
  • I cannot believe the weather today - good job we weren't planning to go out :D

I am hoping to make some cheese straws and home made sausage rolls this afternoon ready to freeze for the kids packed lunches.... If I get time I am going to try and make some muffins to freeze as well.

Went out last night to a girly night at my friends and she had made a gorgeous roasted cherry tomato dish so i am going to try that later if I can remember what she did.

I will share the recipe if my version works :T

    Enjoy your day everyone
  • Morning all,

Hilstep poor you! the weight loss must be the silver lining in this cloud!!!
Aussie &Haribo i had to giggle about yesterdays joke doh!!

Will be cleaning and hoover the upstairs today and may hurl the hoover round downstairs before i put it away.Salad with mackeral for tea and i'll have peanut butter sarnie for lunch.

Little mouse is so cheeky , running across the floor last night ,i opened the back door and moved furniture and resorted to chucking cushions at it to 'encourage' it out! I was so tired when i went to bed i slept like a log .All that late exercise :D and its still here  The [poison] special feed will be put out for it this afternoon fingers crossed folks.

Have an order for 8 jars of spicy pickled onions so this weekend both i and the house will be very fragrant ;) might do some more chutney as well and get the smell over and done with in one go!

Hope those in need of sleep get some tonight and a peaceful day everyone

  • As I cleaned the house from top to bottom yesterday I'm having a lazy day today. We're off to nextdoors 40th Birthday party tonight and an engagement party tomorrow evening, how come these things always happen all at once and never spread over the month? I'm back to work on monday and kids back at school on tuesday so soon be back to normal!
Made chicken stew in the slow cooker yesterday which was yummy. Have 6 portions in the freezer for another day. Haven't got to make tea tonight as we'll be eating party food.
Weather very windy but also quite sunny at the moment, should really have washing on the line but if I do a dark load what will I wash hubbys work trousers with when he comes home later. Will wait and do it tomorrow as the weather is still going to be ok to hang it out. Is it just me who feels guilty if the weather is perfect for drying clothes on the line and I haven't got any out on mine???
Think I'll go and make some lunch for me and DS as I had breakfast quite early and am feeling quite hungry now.
Might paint the window sill in the lounge as an air freshner leaked on it and disolved the paint. I feel so guilty not doing anything at all but I didn't stop cleaning yesterday.
    Weeze x
