I'm no star - I love my job most of the time - occasionally I've thought of changing careers, but I wouldn't know what else to do - no-one else would be daft enough to have me
At least I can go home at 3pm and switch off some of the parents manage 24/7 on their own with little respite.
Drumroll................................... I have been to slimming world. I realised there is one up the road from work at 5.15 and I finish work at 5. So I went by myself tonight after work. I had been waiting to join with a friend but she hasn't fully committed yet. Then this morning I passed the hotel where sw is held and saw a sign outisde.........so tonight was the night!! If my friend manages to sort out childcare - I might change venue and go with her.
LOL then I had a call from another friend asking me if I'm still on for going out tomorrow for a meal..... and dd is home for the weekend. I'll have to make some pretty good choices of food
Today I paid for sw other than that - no spends. 8/10 nsd's this month.
I was asked to do the playscheme at work for 2 days over half term - pleased with that as it should be about £90.January spends - £587.580 -
I had several NSD's this week with a couple of quite expensive days in between. I'll have a tot up later as I've had a busy few days with one thing and another.
I am currently keeping my fingers crossed. I have been to have a steroid injection in my ankle and true to form didn't do it the easy way LOL. I expected just to go to clinic have tiny needle in my ankle, come home and hey presto pain free for a few months. I ended up going to a ward as a day patient and going down to theatre - gowned up, painted in iodine and the lot LOL - I felt a bit of a fraud. Anyway I was well looked after, they used x-rays to guide them and so far so good. They reckon it could last anything from a day to 6 months - so fingers crossed and all the positive vibes I can muster that it lasts a long time. On the plus side - I got my HSA form filled in as a day patient - so will see what I get back - that wouldn't have happened if I'd have just gone to a clinic
MIL has had her op after an awful lot of hassle - will they, won't they wasn't in it. DH has gone to see her - I took advantage of doc telling me to spend the day with my feet up, glass of wine and pampering LOL and will go tomorrow.

Thanks Beanie
I went to Slimming World on Wednesday and lost 2 1/2 lbs - I was pleased as I'd been out for 2 mealsI only went for the weigh in as I had to go out, but I intend to stay in future. I'm hoping to do this in as little time as possible so I can get to my goal weight and then won't have to pay.

Life has been a little hectic here - mil has been in hospital and had heart op so we have been busy visiting. There were a few tense moments and hospital messed her about a bit with deciding what to do with her. But all that is in the past now and she is home recovering from having a new heart valve put in at 90 years young
On the diet front I have lost 6 lbs in the last 4 weeks. I am fairly pleased with that as I have eaten well and not felt deprived. I was hoping for a little more by now but it is going in the right direction. It made my day today when a lady at work who I don't see often asked if I'd lost weight. I must have lost a stone since I last saw her last year.
The injection I had in my ankle has been fantastic up to now - I have really felt the difference. I'm hoping for some dry and snow/ice free weather so I can put it to the test and have a lovely long walk on Monday or Tuesday when I'm not working.
It is half term next week, I'm working 3 days with my 2nd job. I'm looking forward with a few days to myself plus a few extra pennies in the pot. I've managed several NSD's each week but have totally lost count of everything
Don't know if I dare say it but things are going in the right direction all round. That's it - I'm bound to have tempted fate with that comment!!!
I'm off to do some catching up nowJanuary spends - £587.580 -
