Where has this week gone to?????????
I managed 2 NSDs - I'd hoped for 4 but had a couple of unexpected things turn up - nothing too costly but it scuppered some NSDs
I have listened to Paul McKenna every evening since it arrived and I don't think I've managed to stay awake until the end yet LOL - I wonder if it will work as I'm so chilled I'm virtually SNORING...... I have slept so well since I've been listening to it - this is a very pleasant unexpected side effect as I'd been waking in the early hours for a few months for some very strange reason...........
I went to see GP after having a letter to make an appointment for the results of wearing a BP monitor for 24 hours. I have high BP - not high enough to need treatment but something she wants to keep a check on. SO I have to go for an ECG and then a fasting blood test got appointments over the next couple of weeks. I certainly can't complain about them not being thorough - she wants to find out WHY it is high. I was a little concerned that she'd take me off HRT but she's happy to keep me on it for now - apparently I'm NOT a straightforward case LOL LOL LOL - nothing new there then.
I have also been referred to a consultant with my ankle - not that I can go without it - OUCH that was BAD. Not sure what they can do as I'm reluctant to go down any surgical route, but at least I can see what they have to say.
I have been feeling quite smug today - I made raisin bread in breadmaker - made a roast dinner with food I had in. Finished off with a chocolate, cherry and raspberry sponge and custard. I took some round to neighbour too who was really chuffed as she doesn't bother to bake or make custard for herself (she lives alone)
I have kept up with some of my 80 day challenge
Fed George the cat every day
Tidied some pots in garden
Wore make up and made a dressing up effort going to friends last night but my nails are wrecked after using powdered ink in art project at work
Made and posted dd a birthday card for her 30th birthday - so completed a craft project.
Attempted to do a 15 minute tidy most days
I feel in control - things are going well/January spends - £587.580 -

Had a bit of a day today at work through no fault with me or my work colleagues - sometimes it's just the way things pan out where over fragile egos are involved - hopefully things will be resolved fairly soon as management team have been involved, but I am able to switch off and see it as it is - a bit of a hiccup in an otherwise fairly pleasing job. I have every confidence in managers as I've seen them in action - they'll sort things............ LOL - I might need reminding of that!!!
I was very close to saying 's0d it' and go out for tea, as I was and hour and a half late in from work - but I saw sense and ate from the fridge contents instead. I am so pleased I resisted......... I had a nsd.
I have been offered another 2 hours in my 2nd job - that's 6 regular hours a week straight after school - and occasional extras - I'm happy with that level of committment.
3 days to go before half term - and I'm only working 6 hours over half term with 2nd job so that'll give me a break without getting bored.
Think I'm going to have an early night, I'm really tiredJanuary spends - £587.580 -
Yah to six regular hours :j
I have been eating for Scotland sad to say.

Yup the cold weather certainly messes with good intention on the eating front. I'm going to weigh myself again on Friday as it'll be 2 weeks since I started with Paul McKenna - at home I'm trying to remember to eat slowly but at work when I'm on dinner duty with the kids - it is much harder as I have to cram it in between seeing to kids - LOL one child with severe autism and an eating problem where she never feels satisfied and grabs for ANYTHING looking slightly edible got to my plate yesterday as I was cutting up another kids lunch - didn't get chance to rush that one down as it'd been snaffled it before any staff could get to it - I've never seen anyone move so fast as this one when theres food in sight!!!! I'd eaten enough to feel just about satisfied so the loss of part my lunch not that bad - maybe it was Pauls way of letting me know WHEN I had finished and enough is enough.January spends - £587.580

Been a busy few days here - went to dd's 30th birthday party near London at weekend with a friend. It was a bit costly (train tickets, and generally enjoying a few treats over the weekend ) But we were treated well with drinks and a meal out.
It was a real eye opener though.
I have been friends with the lady I went with since we were 5 - which is over 45 years now- now THAT is scary. She has been on a debt management plan and I thought she had sorted herself out when she had a previous cash windfall - but after conversation - I realised she still owes tens of thousands to various places - SO WHY did she insist on upgrading to 1st class on the train (there was plenty of space in 2nd class and I'd reserved seats, taken snacks etc) If I hadn't have been with her she would have bought a coat from a very expensive shop (which wasn't needed) and her general money squanders made me squirm. I know now why I stopped going shopping with her many years ago. It made me realise just how far I had come on my money journey - years ago I might have gone along with the same mentality of its a weekend away - and I NEED to spend to enjoy it. I did spend slightly more than I would have on my own, but I also resisted spends on Oxford Street. I don't consider myself 'tight' - I will spend if I need to but I want a combination value for money, quality and fun
We visited Mary Queen of shops area in one of the shops on Oxford Street aimed at dressing the over 50's - I wouldn't have paid 50p for the items of clothing, they didn't do anything for me at all. But people were queuing with armfuls of the stuff - the cheapest item I saw was £80 and it spiralled upwards........... I'm sure she thought of a number and doubled it
I went by myself to the Trafford Centre yesterday (local shopping centre) - and could easily have spent several hundred pounds on clothes if I'd have had a mind to. I very nearly bought a dress and jacket for dd's wedding (which isn't until next year) but shop didn't have petite section - I was not amused as it was lovely, but being a mere 5ft - I'd have cleaned the floor with it as it was so long  - So I'll carry on saving and looking for the right outfit. I had a fabby day looking around and trying on clothes - I even treated myself to dinner out. It did confirm the need to loose a few more pounds in weight though
Boy - I have waffled today
I have ended up working more hours than I expected over half term - will clock up 12 by the end of the week and another 8 next week rather than the 4 I usually do - every little helps :T
I've got to go to have an ecg later today - think I'm imagining allsorts as I can feel a heartbeat more than usual- shows I'm alive though:rotfl:- always knew I had an over active imagination!!
Then tomorrow I'm going to the orthopaedic clinic with my ankle.
Take care folksJanuary spends - £587.580 -
I'm pleased to say heart beating harder than usual was indeedy my imagination - ECG appeared to be ok - fasting blood tests next week then see if I'm still allowed my HRT.
I walked to my appointment and then to a neighbouring village for a mooch around. By the time I got home I was barely able to put my foot on the floor -and am currently sitting with it raised - bet it's ok again when the doc sees it tomorrow. It was a fair walk but I used to do it easily without even thinking about it - carry bags of shopping back and then go on and walk more!!!!! I feel as if I'm always moaning........
On a positive note
I have fed George the cat his £1 every day
Kept up and done a bit of tidying most days
Am making an effort with make-up and nails
managed some nsds (not as many as I wanted though)January spends - £587.580 -
