Savingholmes - it's good to start as you mean to go on - wish I'd have done that a bit more sooner that I have. Did that mean you got all day Friday off then?
Have a good weekend

yeah I got the whole of Friday off other than a 10 minute phone call - so not too bad!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

An expensive day today - I paid for a meal for 5 out at a lovely Brazilian restaurant but it was a joint birthday bash for dd and dh so it was worth every penny
Its good to have her home.
Freezer is full so will be eating out of that for the forseeable future to counteract this evenings extravegance. Must get back into the habit of taking dinner to work - even if I eat it in the car on meeting days - can't keep eating out at deli
I was in Morrisons yesterday and picked up a leaflet about £25 free for Christmas. Spend £40 a week from Monday and keep reciepts for a 4 week period and get £25 back. I did this last year and even though I didn't need that much shopping each week I filled up with large soap powder, tea and coffeee etc - that I knew would keep - planning on doing the same this year. I managed to pay a fair bit off after Christmas last year as I had stocked up on loads and didn't use the Christmas saving stamps I'd saved until after Christmas. Going away for a few days to dds over Christmas too so won't need as much food in - that will be strange as I tend to go a tad mad on the food shopping front - must reign myself in this year :eek:January spends - £587.580 -
Dd has just headed home, unfortunately she has been ill all weekend - put a brave face on going out last night but ate hardly anything - should have visited family members this morning but couldn't move out. She was really peeved as she hasn't been home since July and spent it feeling yukky.

Shame that DD wasn't well, did you do somehting nice for DH's birthday? Lovely having the children home isn't it, except that DS has just borrowed my car; first time he's driven in 6 weeks... Eeek!

CBM - Hope car is ok after trip out with DS lol
Yeah it's good having them home then it feels very quiet after they leave again. Went to Brazillian restaurant for a meal last night and just heading to see MIL then going for a cheap and cheerful tea out too - not splashing the cah too much tonight after last night - for dhs birthday today.

Sounds like you had a lovely weekend except for DDs illness.
The Morrissons offer sounds good may look into that one.0 -
Just got in from parents evening - been a long day. Wasn't worth coming home between work and going back so bought a butty at lunch time and saved it till after work then went to chill in Jaccuzzi and steam room (making use of my gym membership) - this was much more relaxing than dashing home for half an hour then out again.
Had letter from MBNA today and they have transferred my old cc to one of their reward cards. Are the reward points worth saving by using card and paying off each month or not - anyone used one??
MilannJanuary spends - £587.580 -
I use m and s money as a cashback card - and buy virtually everything on it. I then get between £10 and 20 cash back every 3 months.... Not sure about mbna thoAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
