ISOM's life begins at 40 diary to freedom!

Well boiler gone again so plumber will be here at 8.30 tom as have no heating or water at present!
A tough day in the ISOM household ... once again thankful that I have wonderful support and people who love me! People never seem to amaze me - some for the better but alas some not....Helped out at the church lunch which was well recived and nice to be able to do something that feels of value. Friends are about to buy first house so may offer to do some painting for them! Allotment is next project but still lacking any kind of oomph...hoping it comes soon!

Oh sorry about the boiler- i have been very neglectful of your diary. I know we chatter on fb, but i missed this ( fv duties;) i blame you:eek::rotfl:)

Nice that they appreciated you at Church though so all good. I see what you meant about your status now though and shouldn't have been glib in my reply- so feel free to lob a turnip at me or two:D I really must remember that Scrabble is not my raison d'etre:rotfl::rotfl:

Dont worry about being glib - it made me laugh! Doesent mean that I dont struggle with feeling useless at the same time IYKWIM.not much I can do but take things a day at a time and get through each day...I hope regardless I wont loose my soh and if I do give you permission to administer turnip as necessary!

Ugh to boiler, hope its not too costly. I keep looking at the warmfront grant thing in the vain hope that they change the criteria so we suddenly qualify - !!!!!!s!

well boiler (fingers crossed) fixed..it was the pilot light not working...he thinks hes done it but isnt 100% sure...thankfully despite coming out three times ony cost £55 so cant moan at that! Off to see weezl and my best boy and a friend for supper...

fingers crossed he's sorted the boiler, and sorry to hear all is not well in the isom house. hope things get better soon and it stays nice and warm with the boiler

thanks all...spent a few hours helping weezl declutter and getting ready for baby no 2, due end Mch and added bonus was that I get yummy cuddles with my bestest boy who I could just eat all up cos hes delicious! Hes also a content little chap and happily played while mummy and I did sorting! Friend came for tea and had a good chat and I have been useful twice today which is good. I think part of current situation being SO hard is that I feel useless...heating still going but even if it goes again at least we know whats not working - ie the pilot light keeps failing! So far so good but if not a large, expensive looking part is needed!!
