I've just decluttered the last measure of Gordon which neatly coincided with the last measure of tonic. Love it when that happens, if one or other runs out first you have to keep buying both until the perfect photo finish is achieved.

Lula, re your decluttering...all I have to say is THROW IT AWAY...or I'll come down and do it for you. If you can't be arised to ebay it just get it to the charity shop or if it looks really carp then bin it. I am an expert at wardrobe/box/under bed decluttering. Just hate living with carp and have to have the place neat. Have a happy Saturday night. I'm going to get sloshed at a mates!

    Hello you gorgeous people :hello:

Welcome back Souk, so glad you enjoyed your visit down south too.
Dont you worry about the decluttering, now I've started I cant stop, took another load of clothes to the textile bank today & yet agin I have proved that Lulas Karmic Law truly works.

Rather than ebaying all our stuff I left it out for the charity collection. This morning I baked some hobnobs for my grandmother & we took them round there this afternoon. My dad was also there having just come back from the trip I managed to evade & he gave me a lovely new shiny bottle of duty free Gordons :j. How dam karmic is that :D.

I would also say that is irrefutable proof that I dont need to ebay :p.

Aside from that little bonus, I've had an excellent day. Woke up about 7 but made myself a coffee & lingered in bed reading mags until 8.30. Got 2 loads of washing done & manged to get them almost dry before the downpour so they just need airing. I cleaned, my bedroom, the kitchen & hoovered & washed the floors & spent 15 minutes on hold to the Tax Credit peeps wantig to give them my new bank account details, I gave up & will now write to them instead .

I received another mag through the post & now need to find myself a pair of those gorgeous high heeled hiking style boots & a fab leather flying jacket ( bye by clothes challenge budget :o). My new debit card has arrived & having checked the online banking, the old CC account has disappeared from view so I can safely assume that's been closed :T.

I had a lovley bubble bath & then we headed round to my grandmothers along with hobnobs & bits for tea. She is looking so much better now & is enjoying her food again & Ijust hope she keeps her health once my aunt returns home. It's clear to me now, that it is far more important for me to to find the time at weekends to spend with family, rather than finding the time for the allotment but then not visiting family as I'm feeling too tired, & pressured.

My aunt has located a family tree & we were looking through all these old photos & birth, death & marriage certificates, some of which date back to 1836. They are in immaculate condition & the photos & costumes of the era are just stunning. We got so hooked that it was only when I saw DD stifling a yawn that I realised it was 10.30  & we had better get home.

So, it has been a NSD all day long but tomorrow certainly wont be as we are having our riverside picnic & before that I really really must collect my contact lenses.

I must also write that letter about changing my bank details . . . *yawns & waves goonight for now*

    xx

It *does* sound lovely. And you had a peep into your family history - I've followed it up for years, come across some fascinating characters, even tho most of them are dirt poor some of them moved around, and even the ones who stayed put took some amazing risks with their lives.

Also interesting about Karmic law giving you some Gordons! I'm letting go of potential ebay/amazon profit so I don't have to take the books with me to the new house, and I'm hopeful that some of my equivalent to Gordon (aka red wine) will come my way. Here's hoping :D

And have a wonderful picnic today :A
