However the maximum permissable tow weight of a Mazda MX5 is zero so in towing anything you'd invalidate your insurance and risk being slapped with a reckless driving penalty if caught.
No, no... Not a GT. A sports car..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Thats so not a sports car. Thats the status symbol of a fat bald 60 year old on his second midlife crisis with a silicone enhanced girlfriend significantly younger than his children and no taste.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Who has no taste? The 60 year old, or the girlfriend?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Oy you two,
A boat is what I'm after.
I do not wish to run 2 separate road vehicles & as a camper van wont fit in my garage & I dont have a drive, parking is somewhat 'challenging' & the local Waitrose has an anti-chaikey-wagon height barrier, then its quite clear that a boat is the most sensible option. Our bikes will easily fit on a boat so we wont need a car when we're on the move. The cat can also come along.
I do not need a permanent residential mooring as I have every intention of keeping my current home with its full amenities including fully stocked & functioning bathroom, washing machine & recently acquired large wardrobe, to say nothing of it being well within the catchment area of good local secondary school.
I simply want a sanctuary away from everyday life. I have never aspired to a large property & all the financial responsibility, kudos & maintenance that goes with it. Having a permanent home somehow involves gathering stuff & clutter. I want a place where only the bare essentials are required.
I have had a NSD, am slowly wading through all those organizations that need to know abnout the change of bank details & it's been monday
'nuff said, I'm off to bed

Lula, sorry its been Monday :kisses3: I really, really know that feeling, especially with letting big organisations know things
I had to quote the bit from your previous post about the boat tho. I knew there was a reason I just subscribed to your thread!
I do want/actually do own my own home, but otherwise I'm with you every step of the way. I've got my driving test, but never driven regularly. And I see myself meandering about, but for long meanders, my vehicle of choice would be a winnebago or something, and I couldn't drive that without a year or so of refresher driving lessons.
So its a boat :j:j:j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
You're all mental, lovely but mental with the boat and sports car chat!

Absolutely - cats love boats. This one is leaping into the air and clapping its paws..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

That would be a great photo if the kids didn't also look absolutely *terrified*
Its the kind of photo that makes me wimp out and think "I hope everyone was okay .... they (who's "they"?) wouldn't put a photo like that up if anyone came to any harm, would they?"2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Err yes they do, & then to show their gratitude they spend the next 6 months bringing unwanted gifts such as half a mouse, numerous frogs in varying stages of death & occasionally just a handful of feathers.
Sorry, cant concentrate, too buys being shocked at bbc1 :eek:0
