Hmm, to be honest I'm all mouth and no trousers or whatever the saying is.

I'm really carp at being direct - you'd have got a waffly 'well make sure you think everything through thoroughly.....have you considered x, y & z' kinda post.

I should have joined the diplomatic service or something.

Souk - you made me laugh a couple of weeks ago with your comment about people who don't iron, but you can tell anyway cos they are all crumpled!!! Sadly that is me.....I really dislike ironing but that does mean that quite a few things I either never wear or else wear with the idea that the 'creases will drop out' which of course doesn't happen!!!

    Hello again,

now Souk, dont go thinking that I dont iron at all, trust me when I say that I have probably done more ironing than most people have had hot dinners ;), it's just that I rarely iron my bed linen :o.

Anyway, it's been another lovely sunny day here & we spent a gorgeous couple of hours at the allotment, planting out our potatoes & onions which are all a bit late due to weather restrictions. I felt so much better for having been there as usual.

After a bath, some lunch & a short bike ride ( pedals seem to be coming off DDs bike after its service ) I decided to have a rummage in my wardrobe & organise my spring collection :D. Thanks to the 2 new pairs of trousers I bought yesterday I now have plenty of things to wear at work and creating outfits with tops I already had. I will need a couple more tops but plan to shop cannily for those & stretch my budget.

I cleaned & put away my winter boots & organised my shoes as well. I love playing shops :D

I'm so fed up with not wearing jeans that I've bid on a couple of pairs on ebay ... refuse to up my bid though. I'm also hunting for a new jacket too but just watching those at the moment.

I havent done any financial transfers or payments as I have so many things going in & out of my account & in transit this week that I'm scared of making a mistake. I just want to get all the details of the new CC & balance transfer so I can set up a new snowball - yes, very sad :o.

I cannot express the joy of knowing I dont have to come home from work-job & then do home-job next week :j. I feel no anxiety, no dread, no guilt, nor anger or resentment & am hoping to get a lot of decluttering, spring cleaning & tidying done.

    bye for now

    xx

    Hello,

Back at work-job today & back into the heels too :). Have agreed to increase my hours slightly to help out during the next few months, but have not yet relinquished my fridays.

Collected DD from camp & went to get her bike fixed. She says it sounds funny but we didnt get to test it out today.

My new Virgin CC has arrived & while activating it I fended off a pleasant but lengthy pitch to get me to buy anit-fraud & identity theft protection with free access to experian & legal expenses to rectify any fraud with my identity & now rapidly improving credit record.

I resisted but am now wondering whether anyone else has this sort of protection & if I should too ?

Anyway, I've been awarded a credit limit of £4,000 which is perfectly adequate but as the balance transfer + the fee has taken me so close to that limit I will be keeping the Barclaycard for now, in case of expensive emergencies (like fabulous shoes or a holiday  - just kidding ;)).

I have created a new snowball & am itching to make my first payment :D.

My first day of having just one job was wonderful & having had a bit of a spend & some treats at the weekend, I'm now focused on being super frugal for the next 15 weeks.

It's going to be tricky as there are inset days & bank holidays as well as half term, but I have to be disciplined & determined.

I'm now going to attempt to remove the £2 coins from my pot :(

Your restraint is amazing Lula..I wish I could train myself to be more restrained:eek: I drove for the first time in months today but before I could do that I had to ring the roadside recovery peeps that I found through the FSB (HMCA), I pay about £7 a month which is neither here nor there and I am covered for recovery and home starts. I decided that the battery in my car was rather old - its 9 years old which apparently is good going for a car battery, so I took my sturdy selfridges shopping bag with me (nice jute thing with strong yellow handles)..gawd I didnt realise that batteries were so heavy:eek: Well I asked the man at the counter for a new battery for a Toyota Yaris Y Reg 2001 model 1000cc - unbeknownst to me he gave me a battery for a Mazda and only discovered this when the nice man from the recovery peeps tried to fit it as the lumps on the top were too narrow so I had to hoick the ruddy thing back to the shop where I stood for an absolute age and then I had to heave the thing onto the counter (I was surrounded by men who were so rude and didnt offer to help when they could see me struggling:mad:), different counter man said that it was the right battery but went and found some ring adaptors which he let me have for free (I had paid £63 for this new battery as it has a 3yr warranty) and then I had to hoick it back home again.

Nice man was waiting for me and he told me that he would take away my old battery and dispose of it carefully, then he fitted the new one and then discovered that the battery is slightly taller than the old one and the clamp didnt fit because the rods are 2 inches too short..but not one to be beaten by a clamp, nice man rummaged in his van and appeared with an old but sturdy strap so now my battery is strapped in my car in a heath robinson fashion until such time as I can get new rods.

My first road trip took me to Tatco (must get the 16 loo rolls out of the car), didnt spend much in there - stopped at the whoopsie shelf and got eggs, a lemon meringue pie and some other bits..espied the tatco own loo rolls on offer 16 for the price of 12..bargain - I won't need loo rolls for 2 months now:j

Guess I need to go to bed - need a coffee and to read my book - alarm set for 6am as I am off to a breakfast meeting and it means driving down the motorway:eek:

    Ciao

    Hola amigos :D

Things are a bit weird here; it turns out that not doing home-job has thrown my routine into mayhem. I'm keen to go out on a bike ride to clear my head as soon as we get in,but DD is exhausted & hungry as she's been active all day. As far as her needs are concerned I could easily have done home-job as she wants want to veg out. I now wonder whether the summer hols will be the same

I cant get my head round doing chores after work, but cant get myself out of bed before 7.30 in the morning :o. I am enjoying not having the driver turn up while we're having our breakfast though, but will miss not having my small cash influx which tops up the funds.

I cant access the vodafone site to find out what my bill is this month so darent make any payment to any CCs. I also need to remember that the charges will be going out next week

Still no sign of an amended council Tax bill so I'm still not paying anything :p.

I've managed to release all the £2 coins out of my beautiful purple 'Shoe Fund' terramundi & have £54 of which £40 will be paid into the bank tomorrow. I will now save them in £20 batches & then pay in towards the debt.

Today has been NSD 8 & I'm eating well too so at least I'm not gaining any lard - unlike last week when an extra 2lb appeared

Work-job is manic at the moment & I am struggling to leave on time. Boss is really under pressure & the other one is not due back from hol for another week, Boss said that I should order whatever equipment I need to keep my tasks running smoothly. Quick as a flash I said that all I really needed was a Macbook :D Well, it's worth a try ;)

Need my bed now & I plan to not wake up at 4.30 am with the lamp still on & a book on my pillow :o

    bye for now ...
