    Hello fabulous people,

I'm wiped out so not feeling very entertaining or inspirational tonight but feel as though I havent posted in ages & need to keep up with my moves.

Aside from the scary Council Tax issue, today I received a letter to say that the rent is going up by £35 a month :(. Lula feels rather poor.

Work is rather fraught at the moment so I've been coming home, preparing & eating a meal, doing home-job, then having a bath & going to bed with my book.

The baby downstairs is adamant that 4 am is a great time to wake up & its parents appear to be equally adamant that they will let it scream until hysterical  / I have lain awake for 15 minutes so get up & stomp about which seems to rouse them into action.

I've had another 2 NSDs but today I had to have some chocolate for work & the window cleaner appeared as well. On the plus side I did get 2 x £2 coins :).

The food supply is lasting well, but I do need to top up a few fresh items tomorrow & plan to browse in a few charity shops as well.

Apologies to all whose diaries I havent visited in recently :o & promise to make amends over the next couple of days.

    Bye for now
    xx

Just take care of yourself lady. I too am having an unexciting time with loads of time spent at work and I hate it. It's not me and I haven't seen friends or 'done anything' this week. Also I am premenstrual, will be fine tomorrow!

Are you off tomorrow Lula? I think you should make a date with your bed or sofa once DD has gone to school and have a rest :A

    Morning all,

Stayed in bed an extra half hour this morning, & just knowing I dont have to do work-job, home-job or do anything but please myself for 6 whole hours eased my mind.

I had a long chat with my sister yesterday & we agreed on many family related issues which was therapeutic for us both :).

I was in Waitrose by 9.10 this morning & had every intention of wandering around some charity shops after, but decided to be more productive instead; whizzed home & dropped off the shopping, then stuffed 2 large garden waste bags in the boot & took them to the dump.

Came home & briefly toyed with the idea of cleaning the car, then shut it back in the garage where it wont bother me ;)

I have put my handwashing (including the dress I wore to the work christmas do :shhh:) in to soak & will complete that task in a minute.

I've stripped my bed & as soon as DD gets her uniform off I'll start the laundry labours.

DD is now coming home from school by herself & that is helping too. She feels very grown up & I dont have to make polite conversation with the same people every day. Trust me, after 6 years, it's very very tedious.

I'm also a bit hacked off with Bessfriend. She came for tea last week (never says thank you either ) & apparently the minute they got to their club, she was hiding from DD & has been a bit gossipy & spiteful ever since. Yesterday I was leaving the shop with my chocolate stash on the way to work & her mother walked in & rather than say hello or good morning, she asked "what are you doing in here ? ". She probably didnt mean it rudely, but it didnt sound very pleasant.

Anyway, as I'm forever telling DD, there are millions of nice people in the world to be friends with so you dont have to be stuck with class mates forever :j. Had a teacher consultation yesterday & DD is doing fine with everything apart from being a bit chatty. Cant imagine where she got that from .

I only really popped in to say that I need to get all my chores done today as the weather is due to be fab tomorrow so I plan to spend the day in my garden :D.

The grocery spends in Waitrose came to £22.91. This leaves me with a mere £12.36p for Groceries until the end of the month. I got loads of bargains today though; yoghurts were bogof, organic meatballs were 2 for £4 saving me £1.98 I also got milk, fruit & veg & nothing that we didnt need :).

Off to do some cleaning & tidying now, back later ...

    xx

Hmmm I am very annoyed now.

I typed a huge post over on the clothes challenge, welcoming new members :D, congratulating those who found great bargains & how I really valued both Museumworker & Makeups posts - amazingly 'sorted' & genuine ladies who talk a lot of sense :A- & also which clothes shops I knew to be ethical & which are not, about what I wanted to spend money on when DF - here's the ironic bit - including a new pc / laptop & then the damn thing froze up, then asked if I wanted to return to my previous post ... which had by now been munched by the ether .

    Moving on,

The bathroom has been cleaned, the floors have been washed, the compost scraps are now in the compost bin, the hall walls have been washed, the carpets have been hoovered & everywhere has been dusted :j. The handwash items are now hanging up, the washing machine is loaded with the white wash & just waiting for DDs shirt & socks, my bed has been remade & I am about to revel in not having to go to the school & make some rock cakes instead :D.

I will be save my charity shopping until next friday when I will have 'earned' another £1.89; bringing my total to spend to £15.06 :)

What a lovely day you've had. I've been to the shopping centre to see Mum and Dad and am meeting a friend for a cider after he finishes work. Fridays off are ace. X

You are very wrong, but glad I come across like that in my posts!!!! ;)

Very impressed with your list of achievements for today! I need to get some motivation and get some stuff sorted this evening.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Hello again,

all this not drinking alcohol is very bizarre, I am in bed by 11 most nights & that's not very rock n roll :o

Anyway, took DD to club last night & spent £28 on some new kit for her, she's happy now & it should last at least a year.

I had a lazy start today, DD (love her) brought me a coffee in bed & I read for a bit before eventually getting up at 10 :D. One load of washing is hanging out & I've been clearing all the leaves & weeds away.

Really delighted to see that the blackcurrant bush freebie has buds on it, also there seems to be a raspberry cane & 5 strawberry plants that have survived the winter. I got a free mag from a nearby garden centre yesterday with loads of offers in it so plan to go there soon to stock up on bits & also I'm determined to grow all my bedding plants from seed this year, it's so easy & costs so little.

Much as I have enjoyed the allotment in the past, I'm already wondering how on earth I'm going to fit it into my now very busy schedule . The other girls got it years ago as they both have tiny gardens, my garden is the size of both our plots & although I had plenty of time when I joined them, I really dont have so much now & DD is no longer so keen on it.

If I'm honest, I would prefer to create a plot at home which I can maintain in easy half hour chunks whenever I have them spare rather than having to get in the car & drive 4 miles to the allotment. It really annoys me.

Anyway, the most exciting news of the day (so far ...) is that today I received a cheque for the sum of £50 from dear Carpethole One :T. I cannot tell you how relieved I am; I had secretly written it off & wasnt really expecting to see it. My thanks to 'Pauline' in Mumbai :A.

Right, I am now going to return to the garden & decapitate more bushes :D
